    Abstract: An apparatus comprising a display configured to provide a user interface and a processor is provided, wherein the processor is configured to provide at least a first interactive element in a foreground of the user interface, provide at least a second interactive element, the second interactive element being arranged in a background of the user interface, receive an indication of an interaction of a user with the second interactive element in the background and trigger a function determined by the second interactive element based on the indication of the interaction with the second interactive element. Furthermore, a method for operating a user interface is defined.

    Abstract: An apparatus with a standard zone and a test zone, where the standard zone includes a standard execution environment providing access to genuine resources of the apparatus and the test zone includes a test execution environment providing access to mock resources, with a mock resource modeling a genuine resource of the apparatus. The application has access to the genuine resources when the application is executed in the standard zone. The application has access to the mock resources when the application is executed in the test zone and the application does not have access to the genuine resources when the application is executed in the test zone.

    Abstract: The present disclosure proposes an electronic device and method for controlling the electronic device. The electronic device includes a display and a processor configured to detect a first gesture in a predefined area of the display while a first window is currently displayed in full screen on the display and upon detection of the first gesture instruct the display to display a gallery of previously opened windows; wherein the processor is further configured to subsequently upon detecting a second gesture in the predefined area on the display. The second gesture is a movement along the display. Furthermore, the processor is configured to instruct the display to scroll based on the movement through the gallery.

    Abstract: A computing apparatus configured to perform software verification and validation is provided. The computing apparatus includes a processor coupled to a main memory, and a write only memory module, wherein the processor is configured to execute an application under test. The application under test is configured to write output data to the main memory. The processor directs the output data to the write only memory module and transfers the output data to the main memory when the execution of the application under test is successful, or erases the output data from the write only memory module when the execution of the application under test is unsuccessful.
