Abstract: A transmission line for transmitting radiofrequency range current between a first conductive element and a second conductive element, the transmission line comprising a signal current line and at least one return current line, the signal current line and the return current line(s) extending in parallel. Each current line comprises at least one first segment and at least one second segment. Each first segment is partially aligned with at least one adjacent second segment, aligned segments being separated by a first dielectric gap, and each aligned first segment and second segment forming a capacitive coupling across the first dielectric gap. This solution enables a transmission line which provides only small capacitive loading onto its surroundings, and which therefore can extend, e.g., through an antenna element without significantly affecting the performance of the antenna element.

Abstract: An antenna arrangement for a communication device comprises a top conductive patch comprising at least a first coupling point and a second coupling point coupled to one or more feed circuits carrying a radio frequency (RF) signal to or from the top conductive patch. The RF signal has a first phase in the first coupling point and a second phase in the second coupling point. A first slot extends in the conductive patch between the first coupling point and the second coupling point. The antenna arrangement according enables a desired current distribution to be realized in the antenna in a controlled and systematic manner. A communication device includes such an antenna arrangement.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a dual-polarization antenna array that includes: a conductive structure having an aperture pattern including at least one first aperture and at least one second aperture, the first aperture(s) being directly interconnected with at least one second aperture. At least one first coupling element is connected to a first antenna feed line to excite a first electrical field having a first polarization. At least one second coupling element is connected to a second antenna feed line to excite a second electrical field having a second polarization. Each first coupling element is at least partially juxtaposed with one first aperture, allowing said first electrical field to be transmitted and/or received through said first aperture. Each second coupling element being at least partially juxtaposed with one second aperture, allowing said second electrical field to be transmitted and/or received through said second aperture.

Abstract: An antenna arrangement is described. The antenna arrangement comprises an antenna array that includes a first antenna element having a first feed point, and a second antenna element having a second feed point. The antenna arrangement further comprises a signal processing device configured to receive an input signal (Sin), obtain a first complex weight (w1), obtain a second complex weight (w2), generate a first feed signal (a1) based on the input signal (Sin) and the first complex weight (w1), generate a second feed signal (a2) based on the input signal (Sin) and the second complex weight (w2), provide the first feed signal (a1) to the first feed point, and provide the second feed signal (a2) to the second feed point so as to control the frequency characteristic of the antenna array. A method for such an antenna arrangement is also described.
