Abstract: The present invention provides a hardware acceleration method and a related device. The hardware acceleration method includes: determining, by a functional entity, a requirement of a to-be-accelerated virtualized network function VNF; determining, by the functional entity, a target virtualized infrastructure manager VIM; and deploying, by the functional entity, the to-be-accelerated VNF onto a target host in a management domain of the target VIM by using the target VIM. In the present invention, the functional entity deploys the to-be-accelerated VNF onto the target host whose hardware matching resource meets the requirement in the to-be-accelerated VNF, so that the type of the hardware acceleration resource required in the to-be-accelerated VNF can match a type of the hardware matching resource of the target host, and the hardware matching resource of the target host can meet an acceleration requirement of the to-be-accelerated VNF, thereby effectively improving performance of the to-be-accelerated VNF.

Abstract: A resource allocating method for a VNF and an apparatus are used to resolve a prior-art problem that when a VNF is established. In the method, a resource allocation device in an NFV architecture selects a corresponding physical machine for a VDU based on a resource configuration information group of the VDU. The resource configuration information group includes a resource scheduling parameter, and the resource scheduling parameter is for indicating a requirement of a VNF on a resource selection and scheduling policy. In this way, when a plurality of factors need to be considered to schedule a resource for the VDU, the resource configuration information group may include resource scheduling parameters that indicate a plurality of factors, and the resource allocation device may schedule a resource for the VDU based on a plurality of factors, thereby improving resource scheduling flexibility in a VNF instantiation process.

Abstract: This application discloses a VNF service instantiation method and apparatus. The method is performed by a network functions virtualization orchestrator NFVO or a virtualized network function manager VNFM. The method includes: receiving a virtualized network function VNF instantiation request message; obtaining deployment information of a container service instance that needs to be invoked for VNF instantiation; determining one or more container as service clusters CaaS clusters based on the deployment information of the container service instance, and sending a container service instance creation request to a container as service manager CaaS manager in each of the one or more CaaS clusters; and receiving a container service instance creation success message from the CaaS manager. According to the foregoing solution, problems of cross-site deployment and management of a container service in an NFV scenario are resolved.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a hardware acceleration method and a related device.
