Abstract: A transmission mode selection method and a device are provided. The method includes: determining first indication information, where the first indication information is used to indicate a changed transmission mode and/or indicate to change a transmission mode; and sending the first indication information to a terminal device. There may be a plurality of transmission modes for transmitting a data packet duplicated at a PDCP layer, in other words, there may be a plurality of modes for PDCP duplication. A transmission mode can be selected by using the first indication information. For example, when reliability of a mode for PDCP duplication is not high, another transmission mode can be selected by using the first indication information. In this way, a reliability requirement of a service is met as much as possible, thereby improving transmission quality of the service.

Abstract: A communication method and apparatus are provided. The method includes: A first node determines a sending time point of a second PDCP PDU based on first sending status information from a second node, where the first sending status information is associated with a first PDCP PDU, so that the first node can adjust the sending time point of the second PDCP PDU based on a sending situation of the first PDCP PDU, to avoid too many packet losses caused when a MAC PDU of the second PDCP PDU is not completely sent in a timely manner due to splitting and concatenation, so as to improve reliability of a synchronous data transmission mechanism in an NR system, and improve resource utilization.

Abstract: A training apparatus used for model training on a neural network in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) is disclosed. The training apparatus includes a plurality of accelerators. In a parallel processing process in which the training apparatus trains a neural network model using the plurality of accelerators, a complete weight coefficient of the neural network model is stored in the plurality of accelerators in the training apparatus in a distributed manner. Weight coefficients of the plurality of accelerators are subsequently added to obtain the complete weight coefficient. The neural network model is further trained on each accelerator based on different input data and the complete weight coefficient. Thus, the complete weight coefficient is stored in the plurality of accelerators in the training apparatus in a distributed manner, to reduce video random access memory (RAM) consumption of the training apparatus in a training process of the neural network model.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a scheduling request transmission method, so as to effectively transmit a scheduling request when scheduling request resources are configured on multiple carriers. The terminal receives a configuration parameter for a scheduling request from a base station; when the scheduling request is triggered, the terminal sends the scheduling request on a selected one carrier of multiple carriers according to the configuration parameter. Scheduling request resources are assigned to the terminal on multiple carriers by sending the configuration parameter, so that the terminal can send the scheduling request on the selected one carrier of the multiple carriers according to the configuration parameter. This provides a solution to effectively transmitting the scheduling request.
