    摘要: A computer comprises a processor programmed to identify a plurality of sets of channels. Each set of channels includes first, second and third channels. The first and second channels in each set include uplinks respectively in first and second neighbor beams and have a first bandwidth overlap. The first and third channels in each set share a target and a third downlink included in the third channel has a second bandwidth overlap with a first downlink included in the first channel. the second bandwidth overlap includes a bandwidth corresponding to at least a portion the first bandwidth overlap, such that a signal spectrum in the first bandwidth overlap is included in the second bandwidth overlap. The computer is further programmed to optimize a bandwidth reduction across the plurality of sets of channels.

In some implementations, a satellite transceiver receives a data structure that specifies an interference compensation value for at least one frequency channel on which the satellite transceiver can transmit. The interference compensation value for the frequency channel is based on estimated interference imposed on satellite transmissions transmitted by the transceiver on the frequency channel. The transceiver receives data specifying a second transmit frequency channel to use for a second satellite transmission. A first interference compensation value for a first frequency channel and a second interference compensation value for the second frequency channel are identified from the data structure. The power level of the transmitter of the transceiver is adjusted based on a difference between the second interference compensation value and the first interference compensation value.

    摘要: Systems and methods are described, and one method includes storing, in association with a backup gateway resource, a first and second primary to backup (P2B) pairing coefficient, and a first and second backup to primary (B2P) pairing coefficient. The first and second P2B pairing coefficients correspond to a first and second P2B pairing, respectively. The first and second B2P pairing coefficients are indicative of a metric of switching from the backup GWR to the first and second primary GWRs. A respective unavailability metric is received from the first primary GWR, second primary GWR, respectively, and backup GWR. A P2B pairing is selected selecting, based at least partially on the first and second P2B pairing coefficients, and first and the second B2P pairing coefficients. Traffic is switched to the backup GWR from the one of the first primary and second primary GWR corresponding to the selected P2B pairing.

In one implementation, a method comprises: operating a first communication device to transmit data to a second communication device over multiple communication links, each of the communication links associated with a respective communication medium; receiving, at the first communication device, an input data stream for transmission to the second communication device, the input data stream comprising packets; determining, at the first communication device, a throughput and latency of each of the communication links; based on the determined throughput and latency of each of the communication links: dividing the packets into multiple sets, each of the sets configured to be transmitted by the first communication device over a respective one of the communication links; and transmitting, from the first communication device to the second communication device, each of the sets of packets over the set's respective communication link.

    摘要: An apparatus for defining and generating boundaries of satellite coverage. The apparatus includes a processor that is configured to select a plurality of beam points, from a set of points on a coordinate system, to be included within a beam definition, and determine a number of ellipses capable of enclosing the selected beam points while excluding all remaining points of the set of points. The processor then assigns the selected beam points to a corresponding ellipse, and optimizes geometric information for each ellipse to enclose the beam points assigned thereto. A coverage beam is then defined based on a contour resulting from the combined shape of all the ellipses using the optimized geometric information.

    摘要: A system and method are disclosed for estimating the location of a satellite terminal. A plurality of gateways having known locations are identified. A plurality of reference terminals associated with the gateways are identified, wherein a reference round-trip time (RTT) for signals between each reference terminal and the gateways via the satellite is known. The RTT is used to estimate the satellite's position over a plurality of time instances. The location of a selected terminal associated with a selected gateway is estimated based, in part, on the estimated satellite positions and an RTT for signals between the selected terminal and the selected gateway.
