    摘要: Traditional networked file systems like NFS do not extend to wide-area due to network latency and dynamics introduced in the WAN environment. To address that problem, a wide-area networked file system is based on a traditional networked file system (NFS/CIFS) and extends to the WAN environment by introducing a file redirector infrastructure residing between the central file server and clients. The file redirector infrastructure is invisible to both the central server and clients so that the change to NFS is minimal. That minimizes the interruption to the existing file service when deploying WireFS on top of NFS. The system includes an architecture for an enterprise-wide read/write wide area network file system, protocols and data structures for metadata and data management in this system, algorithms for history based prefetching for access latency minimization in metadata operations, and a distributed randomized algorithm for the implementation of global LRU cache replacement scheme.

    摘要: Traditional networked file systems like NFS do not extend to wide-area due to network latency and dynamics introduced in the WAN environment.     摘要: A synchronous single/double-sided digital inkjet printer comprises a rack, feeding rollers (2, 23), take-up rollers (3, 22), two groups of inkjet printing carriages (9, 16) and driving rollers (5, 20). The two groups of inkjet printing carriages (9, 16) respectively make reciprocating motion on the two groups of track beams (10, 15) mounted on the rack, and are provided with print heads (8, 17). The lower parts of the two groups of inkjet printing carriages (9, 16) are provided with inkjet printing platforms (7, 19) mounted on the rack, and the lower parts of the two inkjet printing carriages (9, 16) are provided with the driving rollers (5, 20). The two driving rollers (5, 20) are driven to rotate in the opposite direction respectively by two independent driving devices mounted on the rack. A printing material winding method is applied to the inkjet printer. The inkjet printer and the method can not only accurately print on two sides synchronously, but also perform a single-sided printing on two pieces of printing materials by the same printer at the same time, thus realizing multi purposes by one machine.

    摘要: Disclosed herein is a supplemental cache for use with a graphics processing unit. The supplemental cache can be used to supplement a vertex cache used with a graphics processing unit. The supplemental cache stores vertex values generated in assembling primitives from vertices provided to the graphics processing unit as part of an image geometry. Generated vertex values associated with a vertex determined to be shared by two or more primitives can be retrieved from the supplemental cache, so as to reduce the need to perform duplicative operations to generate vertex values for shared vertices.
