    摘要: The present invention is to provide a solution for fabricating a light diffusing sheet-like device capable of emitting light with superior brightness, that is a high brightness diffuser. The high brightness diffuser mainly comprises at least two light diffusing pieces with ridge-shape structure arranged thereon, which can be either convex or concave. The convex ridge-shape structure is consisted of a plurality of large convex ridges and a plurality of small convex ridges, which are associated with a ridgeline existing in between two adjacent ridges where the large ridge and small ridge are interlace-arranged, and the ridges along with the associated ridgelines can be longitudinally extended to the same direction. Likewise, The concave ridge-shape structure is constituted the same way as the convex ridge-shape structure is, but is consisted of concave ridges. The high brightness diffuser is fabricated by stacking up the two light diffusing pieces and enabling an included angle to be formed between the two ridge-extending directions of the two light diffusing pieces. Through the embodiment of the present invention, a high brightness diffuser with reduced thickness capable of emitting light of superior brightness and of wide-angle uniformity can be fabricated, and thus can be applied in a rear projection module.

    摘要: A bi-stable projection screen includes a light diffusion unit and a bi-stable display unit stacked together. The bi-stable display unit, when actuated, selectively operates in a first mode or a second mode. When operating in the first mode (e.g., a transmission mode or a reflection mode), the bi-stable display unit receives a projection light from a front projection or a rear projection, and emits the projection light after modulation. When operating in the second mode (a non-transmission mode or a non-reflection mode), the bi-stable display unit is a pattern to become a part of a scene. The light diffusion unit receives and diffuses the modulated projection light to be perceived by human eyes.

    摘要: A method of manufacturing a color filter for a reflective liquid crystal display is disclosed. The method comprises the following steps: 1) coating a layer of positive photoresist on a reflective layer or reflective substrate, and exposing the photoresist layer to a light via a mask having a fine pixel pattern so as to form at least three exposed regions of different exposed energy in the photoresist layer, 2) Removing one of the existing exposed regions having a largest exposed dose by the use of an alkaline developer solution so as to expose the surface of the electrically conductive reflective substrate corresponding to the removed region; and electrodepositing a color paint on the exposed surface of the reflective substrate to form a color filter layer of one selected color, 3) repeating step 2) to remove the other exposed regions in the photoresist layer and proceeding with an electrodeposition process with another color paint until a color filter layer of all desired colors is completed. Thus, a color filter for a reflective crystal display according to the present method could obtain a uniform thickness, a better flatness, and a pattern of high fineness and have a large degree of freedom in pattern arrangement and the possibility of increased size.

The invention also discloses a process for producing liquid crystal panel, which is characterized in that the color filters and spacers are produced by coating a four-level photoresist and by a first exposure step which is masked by a four-level photoresist; the red region, green region and blue region are produced by development and electro-deposition; and the spacers are produced by a second exposure step which is masked by a spacer reticle, a development step which emerges the first conductive film within a region confined by the black matrix, and a step of electrodeposition coating compositions on the emerged region of the first conductive film. The spacers position and sizes could be easily determined by spacer reticle and high quality display performances could be achieved.
