    摘要: A stereoscopic display system and a driving method thereof are disclosed. The stereoscopic display system comprises a display unit, a pair of shutter glasses and a backlight unit. The pair of shutter glasses comprises a left eyeglass and a right eyeglass for watching a left-eye signal and a right-eye signal respectively at different times. Both the left eyeglass and the right eyeglass operate synchronously with the display unit and are turned on and off alternately to watch the left-eye signal and the right-eye signal at different times. The backlight unit provides planar light rays for the display unit. The backlight unit comprises a plurality of light emitting regions which are arranged in a direction identical to a scanning direction of the display unit. The light emitting regions are turned on sequentially in the scanning direction. A turn-on time of each of the light emitting regions corresponds to a transmissivity of the pair of shutter glasses. Light emission brightness of the light emitting regions is distributed asymmetrically in the scanning direction. The stereoscopic display system and the driving method thereof of the present disclosure can reduce the crosstalk and improve the user's experience when using the stereoscopic display system.

The TFT-LCD module comprises pixels, data lines and first switches which control the pixels to be switched on; each of the pixels comprises a main-pixel and a sub-pixel. The TFT-LCD module further comprises a pair of pixel capacitors and second switches; the TFT-LCD module further comprises third switches, each of which is used to control the main-pixel and the sub-pixel to be switched on. This invention may achieve the effect to reduce the crosstalk phenomenon generated when watching a 3D image and the brightness decay generated when watching a 2D image by controlling the main-pixel or the sub-pixel to be switched on.

    摘要: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a stereoscopic display system and a driving method thereof The stereoscopic display system includes a display unit, shutter glasses, and a backlight unit. The display unit displays a left-eye image and a right-eye image in a time division manner. The shutter glasses include a left-eye lens and a right-eye lens. The shutter glasses and the display unit alternately open and close the left-eye lens and the right-eye lens in synchronization with each other. The backlight unit supplies planar light to the display unit. Within a time period of activation of the shutter glasses, the shutter glasses show a transmittance in a first time interval smaller than a transmittance in a second time interval. The backlight unit includes first light source sections and second light source sections. The first light source sections have display brightness that is less than display brightness of the second light source sections. The first light source sections are closed in the first time interval and opened in the second time interval. The stereoscopic display system and the driving method thereof according to the present invention allow the display brightness of the stereoscopic display system to be more uniform.

    摘要: The present invention provides a liquid crystal display (LCD) device and a driving method thereof capable of providing an enabling signal to the pixel unit which displaying different grayscales in the current frame signal and the previous frame signal via a plurality of secondary signal lines after determining the current frame signal is not identical with the previous frame signal. And the pixel unit conducts the data voltage outputted from the data line to the liquid crystal capacitor to adjust alignment of liquid crystal molecules in case of the first transistor receiving the scan signal pulse outputted from the corresponding scan line and the second transistor receiving the enabling signal outputted from the secondary signal lines. In this way, power consumption of the LCD device is reduced.

The pixel includes a main sub-pixel and a secondary sub-pixel. The TFT-LCD module further includes a pair of pixel capacitors and a second switching unit. The sub-pixel comprises a first sub-pixel and a second sub-pixel, and the TFT-LCD module further comprises a third switching unit for controlling operation of the second sub-pixel. The present invention can reduce crosstalk when showing a 3D image and keep the brightness of 2D images by controlling the operation of the second sub-pixel.
