摘要： A network connection control method and apparatus of a mobile terminal maintains or releases connection to a wireless network based on the existence of downlink traffic from the wireless network. The method preferably includes connecting to a wireless network transmitting a signal greater than a predetermined value in strength when an Internet access request is detected; requesting the connected wireless network for traffic; determining whether the traffic is received from the connected wireless network; and releasing the connection to the wireless network by determining the wireless network as an idle wireless network when no traffic is received. The determination as to whether to maintain or release the connection to the currently connected WLAN based on whether actual traffic is received from the WLAN. When the mobile terminal is connected to an Access Point not coupled to the Internet, the mobile terminal immediately switches the connection to a cellular network.

摘要： A mobile terminal having multiple touch panels and a touch panel operating method for the same are provided. A single touch controller is employed to control multiple touch panels. The mobile terminal includes a first touch panel disposed at one side and comprising at least one touch sensor, a second touch panel disposed at another side and comprising at least one touch sensor, and a touch controller having a plurality of ports, wherein at least one of the plurality of ports is connected to a touch sensor in the first touch panel and at least one of the plurality of ports other than the port connected to the first touch panel is connected to a touch sensor in the second touch panel, and wherein the touch controller conducts scanning on the first touch panel and second touch panel to recognize a touch.

摘要： A list managing method and apparatus that manage a list of content in a portable terminal having a touch screen according to multi-touch signals are disclosed. The method includes: detecting multi-touch signals input to a list on a touch screen; determining whether the multi-touch signals are input for a period of time equal to or greater than an activation time period; designating, if the multi-touch signals are input within the activation time period, the entire list with a selection area for altering a structure of a list; identifying a gesture generated by the multi-touch signals; expanding or contracting the structure of the entire list according to the gesture; and displaying the altered structure of the entire list on the touch screen.
