摘要: Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are provided for a network control node for connecting a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) to a network slice in a network. The network control node may receive service information associated with a service being requested by the WTRU, wherein the service information comprises one or more of a service class, a quality of service (QoS) requirement, or a mobility characteristic. The network control node may determine slice information associated with a plurality of network slices, wherein the slice information comprises one or more of an identifier of the network slice, priority of the network slice, a service class served by the network slice, a target device class, a QoS target, mobility support, security service, charging information, and/or performance information. The network control node may determine subscriber information for the WTRU. The network control node may select at least a first network slice of the plurality of network slices to serve the WTRU, wherein the network control node selects the first network slice based on the service information, the slice information associated with the first network slice, and the subscriber information for the WTRU. The network control node may determine whether the network control node or another network control node should service the WTRU for accessing the first network slice. On condition that the network control node determines that the network control node should service the WTRU for accessing the first network slice, the network control node may provide at least one network service associated with the first network slice to the WTRU. Or, on condition that the network control node determines that the another network control node should service the WTRU for accessing the first network slice, the network control node may send a request to the another network control node that indicates that the another network control node should service the WTRU for accessing the first network slice.

摘要: Methods, apparatuses, systems, etc. for handling mobility in connection with protocol data unit (PDU) sessions are provided. Among these is a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) that may receive, from a source access network (S-AN), a handover command in connection with a handover involving a multi-access protocol PDU (MA-PDU) session having one of first and second access legs associated with the S-AN. The WTRU may determine that the second access leg should be associated to the S-AN for the handover. The WTRU may send a session modification message to request modification of the MA-PDU session to cause the second access leg to become associated with S-AN The WTRU may establish a radio resource control connection with a target AN (T-AN), and the first and second access legs (e.g., as a combined access leg) may be associated with the T-AN.

摘要: A system and apparatus for addressing the different types of mobility of a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) in a network. A radio access network (RAN) may send a request for configuration information to a gateway device including a device ID of a WTRU, a service ID, and a RAN address. Once the RAN receives configuration information from the gateway device including a forwarding table, the RAN may be prepared to receive non-IP data from a WTRU including a routing tag. The routing tag may be based on the device ID of a WTRU and service ID. The RAN may transmit the non-IP data received from the WTRU to the gateway device over a routing path based on the routing tag and a forwarding table where the non-IP data is forwarded on to its detention, such as another WTRU or an Application Server.

The WTRU may receive a message from the RAN node. For example, the RAN node may send a message indicating a subset of the plurality of PDU sessions that are available upon resuming a connection with the RAN node. The WTRU may deactivate at least one established PDU session of the plurality of PDU sessions based on the received message from the RAN node that indicates at least one established PDU session not being included in the subset of the plurality of PDU sessions that are available.

摘要: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may establish a multi-access (MA) protocol data unit (PDU) in accordance with the examples described herein. The WTRU may establish a new packet data network (PDN) connection or identify a suitable existing PDN connection in an evolved packet core (EPC), establish a MA-PDU in a 5G core network (5GC), and associate the existing PDN with the MA-PDU. The WTRU may already have a MA-PDU session established in 5GC with both 3GGP access leg and non-3GPP access leg in 5GC, and the WTRU may replace the 3GGP access leg in 5GC with a suitable PDN connection in EPC. The WTRU may send a request for establishing a single-access PDU session in 5GC via non-3GPP access, and a 5GC network may upgrade a PDU session established for the WTRU to a MA-PDU with 3GGP access leg in EPC.
