Abstract: A vehicle roof assembly for covering at least a part of a passenger compartment of a vehicle comprises a mounting frame and a panel device. The panel device comprises a cover panel and a mounting bracket comprising a mounting flange. The mounting frame comprises a first flange and a second flange under an angle. The second flange comprises a mechanical coupler for attaching the mounting flange. The first flange is configured to be extending towards the passenger compartment. The mounting flange is attached to the second flange at the mechanical coupler. In a mounted state, at least a part of the first flange is arranged closer to the cover panel than the mechanical coupler such that head space is preserved.

Abstract: An open roof construction for a vehicle having a roof opening in a fixed roof has a roof edge defining the roof opening and protruding in a downward direction. The open roof construction comprises a stationary part and at least one panel for at least closing the roof opening. The stationary part is provided with sealing assembly comprising a first seal part forming a seal towards the panel, and a second seal part capable of sealing the stationary part against the roof edge. The sealing assembly is provided with an attachment structure protruding from the first seal part and the second seal part and attaching the sealing assembly to the stationary part. A reinforcement member is integrated in the sealing assembly and extends at least between the first and second seal parts. The reinforcement member forms an integral part of the attachment structure of the sealing assembly.

Abstract: An open roof construction for a vehicle having a roof opening in a roof part, comprising a panel, and a first device for moving the rear side of the panel towards a raised position relative to the closed position and above an adjoining roof part. The control slide and the lifting member are guided by a guide rail having grooves and extending in longitudinal direction alongside the opening and below the adjoining roof part. A support lever cooperates with the control slide and supports the panel in positions in which it is above the adjoining roof part. The support lever is guided in the guide rail and is adapted to also pass through the passage opening. The support lever takes over support of the panel from an intermediate guide connection of the lifting lever and the intermediate guide connection is then disengaged from the guide curve in the control slide.

The pin-like member at its second end is provided with an enlarged head configured to engage the slide shoe at a side thereof facing away from the lever. The dimensions of the enlarged head are such that, as seen in a direction from the enlarged head towards the lever, at least part of said enlarged head overlaps at least one guide part.

Abstract: A roof system comprises a panel movable between closed and open positions. An operating mechanism comprises front and rear devices. A slide moves the panel both in vertical and horizontal directions via the front and rear devices. At least one of the front and rear devices comprises a lever connected to the slide or the stationary rail through a second pivot pin. A first guide cam is at least partly in engagement with either a stationary guide and/or a curve in the slide. The slide includes a first and second slide part are pivotally connected to each other. One of the slide parts, that is pivotally and slidably connected to said lever, includes a cam engaging a guide curve in the stationary guide rail to force said one slide part to pivot with respect to the other slide part during at least a part of the sliding movement of the slide.

Abstract: An open roof construction for a vehicle comprises at least one at least semi-transparent panel for closing an opening in a fixed roof part of the vehicle. A retractable sunscreen device is capable of blocking daylight entering through the panel. The sunscreen device includes a sunscreen slidably guided in a pair of guide rails each extending below and along a longitudinal edge of the opening in a longitudinal direction. A light guiding device is attached to each of the guide rails, the light guiding device comprising at least a first light guide for guiding light from a light source to an interior space in the vehicle. The light guiding device on each of the guide rails comprises means to direct light at least in two different directions, one towards a central part of the sunscreen, the other towards an area between the respective guide rail and the panel.

Abstract: A roof system for a vehicle, comprises a movable roof panel for a roof opening. Stationary guide rails slidably guide an operating mechanism that operates the panel. The operating mechanism comprises a first device for moving the panel rear edge towards a raised position and a second device including a lever for moving the panel front edge in a vertical direction. A guiding slide is driven to move the panel both vertically and horizontally through the first and second devices. The lever comprises a first pivotal connection to the panel, and, remote from that spaced second and third connections. The third connection connects the lever to the guiding slide. A fourth connection on the lever is arranged near the third connection and connects the lever to the guiding slide when the third connection is disconnected from the guiding slide during a movement of the front edge of the panel upwardly.
