Abstract: A wireless communication device for communicating across a wireless communication channel includes a memory storing instructions and one or more processors coupled to the memory to execute the instructions stored in the memory. The instructions are configured to determine a plurality of channel estimation measurements corresponding to a plurality of PPDUs received from an additional wireless communication device; determine a plurality of position measurements using information about the transmission of the plurality of PPDUs, wherein the position measurement is a position of the additional wireless communication device relative to the wireless communication device; select a subset of the plurality of channel estimation measurements based on the plurality of position measurements; and determine a change in a state of the wireless communication channel based on the selected subset of the plurality of channel estimation measurements.

Abstract: In Down Link MU-MIMO, an AP transmits to several STAs concurrently. In the mmWave band, directional transmissions are used so it is necessary for both the AP and the STAs to set their antenna arrays (by setting their antenna weight vectors—AWVs) in the best way to receive the transmissions directed to them by the AP and to avoid interference from transmissions directed to other devices. An exemplary embodiment discloses a beamforming training protocol that is capable of generating a set of antenna weight vectors for MU-MIMO operation that at least improves performance of subsequent communications.

Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to enhanced ranging. A device may initiate a ranging sequence by transmitting an NDPA frame followed by an I2R NDP frame. The device may receive a corresponding R2I NDP frame and an R2I LMR from a responding station. The device may repeat the ranging sequence for two or more iterations to collect multiple data sets. The device may process the R2I NDP frame and the R2I LMR to generate continuous ToA and ToD measurements for each iteration.

Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to neighbor awareness networking (NAN) operations in the 6 GHz frequency band. A NAN device may generate a first NAN frame including a first indication of a NAN operation capability, and a second indication of a transmit power of the NAN device. The NAN device may send the first NAN frame and may identify a second NAN frame received from a second NAN device, the second NAN frame including a third indication of the NAN operation capability, and a fourth indication of a transmit power of the second NAN device. The NAN device may determine, based on the transmit power of the NAN device and the transmit power of the second NAN device, an operation parameter for the 6 GHz frequency band. The NAN device may establish, based on the operation parameter, a NAN connection using the 6 GHz frequency band.

Abstract: Techniques for supporting variable channel bandwidths in a wireless communications network are described. In one embodiment, for example, an apparatus may comprise a processor circuit and a communications management module, and the communications management module may be operable by the processor circuit to determine a channel bandwidth for communication over a channel of a wireless network, transmit a beamforming initiation message comprising a channel bandwidth parameter indicating the determined channel bandwidth, receive a beamforming initiation confirmation message confirming the channel bandwidth parameter, perform a beamforming training sequence to determine one or more beamforming parameters, and transmit one or more messages over the channel according to the determined channel bandwidth and the one or more beamforming parameters.
