摘要: An infant cup includes a cup body 12, a cover 16, a flexible mouthpiece 24 and a valve element 26. The valve element 26 includes a sealing face 70 which closes an orifice 44 in the mouthpiece in a relaxed position. The valve element includes an angled face cooperating with an internal angled face of the mouthpiece such that when pressure is applied the valve element moves downwardly, opening the mouthpiece orifice 44. The valve element is resiliently biased upwards such that when relaxed it springs back to close the mouthpiece orifice 44 once again, and is biased upwards in the closed position.

The system includes a computing system configured to allow parallel computing of a web application executed within a web browser. The computing system includes shared memory having a set of blocks distributed at least a first thread and at least one spawned thread of a processing function of the web application. The memory is partitioned into a nursery heap, a mature heap and a database having a plurality of private nurseries, wherein the first thread has access to the nursery heap and mature heap and the at least one spawned thread has access to an associated one of the plurality of private nurseries. During parallel computing of the web application, management of the shared memory includes garbage collection of at least each of the plurality of private nurseries.

摘要: The subject invention pertains to a method and device for implementing a dynamic End of Discharge Voltage (EODV) for rechargeable batteries and battery packs (batteries/packs). This dynamic EODV can be adjusted based on, for example, environment, operating conditions, temperature, residual capacity, cell chemistry, cell size, form factor, discharge rate, and/or the number of charge/discharge cycles the battery has undergone. The subject invention can provide for enhanced run time from each discharge cycle of the battery/pack. In addition, the subject invention can provide for more accurate save-to-disk alarms, while ensuring adequate energy for the actual save to disk operation. Furthermore, the subject invention can also extend the useful life of the battery/pack.

摘要: An arrangement is provided for using bit vector toggling to achieve concurrent mark-sweep garbage collection in a managed runtime system. A heap may be divided into a number of heap blocks. Each heap block may contain a mark bit vector pointer, a sweep bit vector pointer, and two bit vectors of which one may be initially pointed to by the mark bit vector pointer and used for marking and the other may be initially pointed to by the sweep bit vector pointer and used for sweeping. At the end of the marking phase for a heap block, the bit vector used for marking and the bit vector used for sweeping may be toggled so that marking phase and sweeping phase may proceed concurrently and both phases may proceed concurrently with mutators.

摘要: A system for treating an aneurysm in a vessel includes a delivery device having a delivery portion suitable for delivery of embolic material. The delivery device is placed in a neck of the aneurysm and an expandable member is placed proximate the neck. The expandable member is expanded to overlie substantially the entire neck. Embolic material is delivered to the aneurysm with a delivery device. The expandable member is held over the neck to inhibit movement of the embolic material out of the aneurysm. Blood is allowed to flow out of the aneurysm, past the neck of the aneurysm, and through the vessel while the expandable member is held over the neck of the aneurysm.

摘要: Embodiments of the invention relate to a transactional memory engine to implement a transactional memory instruction set including transactional memory commands included in a processor. The transactional memory engine performs a copy command utilizing transactional memory commands to copy a value from an old object in an old memory space to a new object in a new memory space during garbage collection activities performed by a garbage collector and enables a copy-write-barrier utilizing transactional memory commands to ensure dynamic consistency between objects managed by the garbage collector during application activities.

摘要: A system and process for improving container flow within a port facility, including improved equipment and software for controlling operation and flow of the equipment in the part facility. The system may include a port facility geographically arranged to separate land operations and water operations. Land operations such as over-the-road missions and rail missions may use landside access areas positioned at one end of a yard including rows of container stacks. Water missions such as loading/discharging a vessel may use waterside access areas positioned at the opposite end of the yard. Automated cranes linked with a terminal operating system may pick/drop/shuffle containers and/or refrigerated containers (“reefers”) within the container stacks. Shuttle trucks may be used to pick/drop containers at quayside access points and the waterside access areas. The shuttle trucks may utilize shared wheelpaths. Software systems may be used to implement various principles of the invention.
