摘要: A method for maintaining a high availability data transmission and processing environment. A network of clusters is provided. Each cluster of the network includes at least two identical servers. Each cluster of the network is directly connected to at least one other cluster of the network. Each pair of clusters directly connected to each other is characterized by each server in a first cluster of the pair of clusters being directly connected to at least one server in a second cluster of the pair of clusters via a communication link. Provided is a control server adapted to monitor an operational status of the communication link (i.e., the communication link is operational or non-operational). The control server is directly linked to at least one server in each cluster via a communication channel between the control server and the at least one server.

摘要: The present invention generally relates to a claims review system for electronic review of insurance claims. The claims review system contemplates several classes of users and comprises four modules, namely, a questionnaire module, a review module, an administration module, and a security module, that each implements an elective function of the review system. The questionnaire module allows specified users to create questionnaires used to gather information about a particular claim. Using the review module a specified user is able to perform reviews of the claims and respond to the questionnaires. The review module also allows a user to compare finalized reviews and to invite another user to view the comparison. The primary function of the administration module is to allow a user to track the location of physical claim files, and to input tracking information for physical files. Lastly, the security module may be used to create and to modify user roles for the system.

摘要: A processor in a data processing system executes a permutation instruction which identifies a first source register, at least one other source register, and a destination register. The first source register stores at least one in-range index value for the at least one other source register and at least one out-of-range index value for the at least one other source register. The at least one other source register stores a plurality of vector element values, wherein each in-range index value indicates which vector element value of the at least one other source register is to be stored into a corresponding vector element of the destination register. Each out-of-range index value is used to indicate which one of at least two predetermined constant values is to be stored into a corresponding vector element of the destination register. Partial table lookups using a permutation instruction shortens the time required to retrieve data.
