摘要： An absorbent pad for absorption and containment of oil based products. The absorbent pad includes a plurality of absorbent modules contained within a hydrophobic, porous and flexible top and base material, each absorbent module having a hydrophobic, oil absorbent material sealed therein, each of the plurality of absorbent modules being spaced from adjacent absorbent modules by a gap to allow the absorbent modules to flex and twist with respect to each other as well as permitting oil-based products to flow up through the gap between adjacent absorbent modules.

摘要： The present disclosure provides hydrocarbon absorbent granules, comprising granulated particles each including a mixture of hydrophobic non-self associating raw cotton sorbent fibers and a binding agent. The granules have an average diameter in a range from about 1 to about 7 cm and have a density in a range from about 0.03 to 0.1 grams per cubic centimeter. The binding agent constitutes from about 0.5 to about 70 percent by weight of granule. The granules are characterized in that they exhibit a sorbency ratio in a range from about 7 to about 30.
