The device includes at least one physiological data sensor configured to sense physiological data of a user; at least one location determination device configured to determine a location of the user; a memory configured to store a monitoring application; and a processor configured to execute a monitoring application and obtain the physiological data from the at least one physiological data sensor and obtain the location of the user from the at least one location determination device. The device further includes a transceiver configured to transmit an alert over a wireless network to a monitoring device and an attachment mechanism associated with the housing.
