Abstract: Systems, apparatus, articles of manufacture, and methods are disclosed to reduce dynamic refresh rate power consumption. An example apparatus includes interface circuitry, machine-readable instructions, and at least one processor circuit to be programmed by the machine-readable instructions to modify a value of a source clock based on a detected application type, generate a pixel clock value change request based on the application type, cause transmission of the pixel clock value change request to a display, and cause transmission of pixels to the display at the modified source clock value.

Abstract: Computers for supporting multiple virtual reality (VR) display devices and related methods are described herein. An example computer includes a graphics processing unit (GPU) to render frames for a first VR display device and a second VR display device, a memory to store frames rendered by the GPU for the first VR display device and the second VR display device, and a vertical synchronization (VSYNC) scheduler to transmit alternating first and second VSYNC signals to the GPU such that a time period between each of the first or second VSYNC signals and a subsequent one of the first or second VSYNC signals is substantially the same. The GPU is to, based on the first and second VSYNC signals, alternate between rendering a frame for the first VR display device and a frame for the second VR display device.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for external display power loss detection. An example non-transitory computer readable medium comprises instructions that, when executed, cause a machine to at least determine whether a physical connection is established between a source device and an external display. In response to detecting the physical connection between the source device and the external display, present an application window from the source device to the external display, receive signal inputs from the external display, compare a first signal input from the signal inputs and second signal input from the signal inputs, and determine whether a calculated difference between the first signal input and the second signal input exceeds a threshold value. In response to determining that the calculated difference exceeds the threshold value, present the application window via the source device automatically without user input.
