Abstract: In some implementations, a processor may retrieve predicted positioning data and predicted orbital data from global navigation satellite service (GNSS) positioning circuitry of a wireless device in response to a request for device time. The processor may retrieve long-term learning (LTL) data for a temperature sensing crystal (TSX) of the wireless device, the LTL data including S-curve characteristics of the TSX, and the time tracking uncertainty of the TSX. The processor may generate a GNSS-based device time estimate using the predicted positioning data and the predicted orbital data. The processor may perform TSX-based device time processing by updating the GNSS-based device time estimate using a clock signal of the TSX to generate a final device time estimate, the updating based on the retrieved LTL data for the TSX.

Abstract: Generally discussed herein are systems and apparatuses for determining a location of a device. Also discussed herein are methods of using the systems and apparatuses. According to an example a mobile device may include processing circuitry including a Measurement Engine (ME) and a Position Engine (PE), wherein the PE is configured to provide a location estimate of the device using a location function, generate an estimate location function that approximates the location function to within a specified error, and provide the estimate location function to the ME, and wherein the ME is configured to receive a geo fence boundary defining a boundary of a geographical region, determine a plurality of pseudo ranges between the device and a plurality of navigation satellites, and determine, using the estimate location function and the plurality of pseudo ranges, whether the device is within the geographical region defined by the geo fence boundary.

For example, an apparatus may include a GNSS receiver including circuitry to receive GNSS signals; and at least one GNSS processor component configured to determine a plurality of configuration hypotheses including different combinations of one of a plurality of different Space Vehicle (SV) sets and one of a plurality of different duty cycle profiles, the GNSS processor component configured to select from the plurality of configuration hypotheses a selected measurement configuration including a selected SV set and a selected duty cycle profile, based at least on an estimated power consumption corresponding to the selected measurement configuration and an estimated position error corresponding to the selected measurement configuration, the GNSS processor component to configure a GNSS measurement by the GNSS receiver using the selected SV set and according to the selected duty cycle.
