    Abstract: The disclosure relates to a mobile communication system including: a first transmission path configured to transmit a message according to a first radio access technology; a second transmission path configured to transmit the message according to a second radio access technology; and an encoder configured to encode the message by a code before transmission of the message over the first transmission path and the second transmission path, wherein the code comprises at least two subcodes, and wherein the encoder is configured to encode the message intended for transmission over the first transmission path with a first subcode of the at least two subcodes and to encode the message intended for transmission over the second transmission path with a second subcode of the at least two subcodes.

    Abstract: This disclosure relates to a beamforming controller for a beamforming transmitter device, the beamforming controller comprising a control element configured to: activate a first configuration state of a plurality of configuration states for a control channel, each configuration state indicating a beam direction of the control channel; control a beam switching of the control channel from the first configuration state to a second configuration state based on a beam direction of the control channel according to the first configuration state; and retransmit signaling of the beam switching based on a beam direction of the control channel according to both the first and the second configuration state if an acknowledgement to the beam switching is null, not received, missing or received in error.

    Abstract: An architecture to allow the translation or conversion of short-range direct communications between devices with different radio access, such as in a V2X (vehicle-to-everything) communication context, is disclosed. In an example, a translation process, such as is performed by a mobile/multi-access edge computing (MEC) communication entity, includes: obtaining or accessing, at a translation function, a communication message (e.g., IP message) provided from a first device operating with a first radio access technology (e.g., LTE C-V2X), the message addressed to a second device operating with a second radio access technology (e.g., IEEE 802.11p or DSRC/ITS-G5); converting the communication message, with the translation function, into a format compatible with the second radio access technology; and initiating a transmission of the translated communication message, from the translation function, to the second device using the second radio access technology.

    Abstract: A method and device for controlling access to a limited access spectrum, the method including: authorizing a mobile communications device in a predefined geographic area to communicate via the limited access spectrum, wherein access by the mobile communications device to the limited access spectrum is based on a user profile defining access rights to the limited access spectrum; determining a load level of communications on the limited access spectrum in the predefined geographic area; and allocating a communications timing parameter to the mobile communications device based on the load level. In addition, the communications timing parameter may be further based on a priority status of a recipient of the communication from the mobile communications device.
