Abstract: The disclosure relates to a mobile communication system including: a first transmission path configured to transmit a message according to a first radio access technology; a second transmission path configured to transmit the message according to a second radio access technology; and an encoder configured to encode the message by a code before transmission of the message over the first transmission path and the second transmission path, wherein the code comprises at least two subcodes, and wherein the encoder is configured to encode the message intended for transmission over the first transmission path with a first subcode of the at least two subcodes and to encode the message intended for transmission over the second transmission path with a second subcode of the at least two subcodes.

Abstract: Embodiments of a Spectrum Access System (SAS) controller, Evolved Node-B (eNB) and methods for allocation of shared spectrum are disclosed herein. The SAS controller may receive an indicator that a group of channels in the shared spectrum are available for secondary usage. The SAS controller may allocate one or more channels in the group to eNBs for usage in one or more census tracts. The census tracts may include interior and exterior portions, in some cases. Fractional frequency reuse (FFR) techniques may be used in accordance with the interior and exterior portions of the census tracts for allocation of the channels. Channels may be allocated for Priority Access License (PAL) usage and/or General Authorized Access (GAA) usage, in some cases.

Abstract: A communication device is provided that includes a baseband circuit and a transmitter configured to transmit a first signal and a projected signal. The baseband circuit is configured to determine the projected signal based on an estimated signal state information such that an energy of a shaped projected signal is smaller than an energy of a shaped signal. The estimated signal state information is an estimate of a signal state information based on the first signal and a received signal that is received by a receiver of the second communication device. The shaped projected signal is the projected signal received by the receiver of the second communication device and filtered by a filter of the second communication device. The shaped signal is the received signal filtered by the filter of the second communication device.

Abstract: An architecture to allow the translation or conversion of short-range direct communications between devices with different radio access, such as in a V2X (vehicle-to-everything) communication context, is disclosed. In an example, a translation process, such as is performed by a mobile/multi-access edge computing (MEC) communication entity, includes: obtaining or accessing, at a translation function, a communication message (e.g., IP message) provided from a first device operating with a first radio access technology (e.g., LTE C-V2X), the message addressed to a second device operating with a second radio access technology (e.g., IEEE 802.11p or DSRC/ITS-G5); converting the communication message, with the translation function, into a format compatible with the second radio access technology; and initiating a transmission of the translated communication message, from the translation function, to the second device using the second radio access technology.
