Abstract:
Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed to facilitate target wake time management between access points and devices. An example station based apparatus to facilitate target wake time operations between an access point and the station includes a data manager to determine at least one of a quantity of uplink data to be sent by the station or a quantity of downlink data to be received by the station, a connection manager to schedule a connection of the station to a device different than the access point, and a target wake time negotiator in communication with a component interface to at least one of receive a signal from or distribute a signal to the access point, the signal to modify a service period of the target wake time based on at least one of the quantity of uplink data, the quantity of downlink data, or the scheduled connection.
Abstract:
Technologies for multi-core wireless data transmission include a computing device having a processor with multiple cores and a wireless network interface controller (NIC). The computing device establishes multiple transmission queues that are each associated with a processor core. A driver receives a packet for transmission from an application in the execution context of the application, determines a current processor core of the execution context, adds metadata to the packet indicative of the current core, and enqueues the packet in the transmission queue associated with the current core. The wireless NIC merges the packet with packet data from the other transmission queues, adds a sequence number to each packet, and transmits each packet. The wireless NIC may determine the current processor core based on the metadata of the packet and raise an interrupt to the current processor core in response to transmitting the packet. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
Abstract:
Embodiments of a user station (STA) and methods for synchronizing with devices in a wireless communication network are generally described herein. In some embodiments, a STA accesses a list of social channels. The STA may transmit a scan message on a primary social channel. The primary social channel may be included in the list of social channels. The STA may determine an identity of the primary social channel by inspecting the list of social channels. The STA may synchronize with a device on the primary social channel when the STA detects transmissions on the primary social channel within a time duration subsequent to transmitting the scan message on the primary social channel. Otherwise, the STA may transmit a scan message on a secondary social channel selected from the list.
Abstract:
The disclosure relates to techniques for controlling Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) of radio energy transmission. In particular, the disclosure relates to a radio device and a method for controlling radio energy transmission of a plurality of radio entities to comply with a predefined SAR requirement. Such a radio device includes: a plurality of radio entities configured to transmit radio energy; and a controller configured to control the radio energy transmission of the plurality of radio entities to comply with a predefined Specific Absorption Rate, SAR, requirement, wherein the controller is configured to enable at least two radio entities of the plurality of radio entities operating concurrently based on a shared SAR transmission power restriction which allows the at least two radio entities transmitting concurrently at a predefined duty cycle, in particular at 100% duty cycle, without violating the SAR requirement. The disclosure further relates to a method for dynamic management of a SAR budget across multiple radio entities.
