摘要： A base station comprising a processor and a communication interface configured to communicate with a plurality of cells in the network. The processor and the communication interface are configured to initiate a Broadcast/Multicast Service Session in the plurality of cells and provide configuration, coordination and synchronization to the plurality of cells for the Broadcast/Multicast Service Session. This is to ensure that the plurality of cells transmit identical data, substantially simultaneously. The Broadcast/Multicast Service configuration comprises radio resource configuration information including time and frequency resources, transmission configuration including modulation and coding scheme, and scheduling period. The communication interface and processor are further configured to notify the plurality of cells when the Broadcast/Multicast Service Session starts and when it ends.
