摘要: A capacitive sensor array for in-situ monitoring directed self-assembly of a self-assembling material is provided. The capacitive sensor array includes a bottom electrode plate including a plurality of bottom electrodes that are spaced apart and electrically isolated from one another, template structures located on the bottom electrode plate, wherein the template structures define trenches therebetween, each of the trenches exposing at least one of the plurality of bottom electrodes; and a top electrode plate assembled on the bottom electrode plate, wherein the top electrode plate includes a plurality of top electrodes that are spaced apart and electrically isolated from one another, the top electrodes facing and intersecting, but electrically isolated from, the bottom electrodes.

摘要: A method, system, and apparatus for alleviating an obstruction caused by an object from a view of an observer includes a hardware device affixed to the object such that the observer observes a presentation on the device when observing the object. The device is enabled to receive a signal, wherein the signal corresponds to a portion of an ambience obscured by the object from a view of the observer. The signal is processed at the device and without using a data processing system, to generate a version of the signal. Using the device, the version of the signal is presented to the observer as the presentation, wherein the version of the signal alleviates the portion of the ambience obstructed by the object in the view of the observer.

摘要: A grating structure has a plurality of gratings. In one example, one or more of the gratings are configured: to be non-uniformly spaced with respect to one or more other ones of the gratings; and to optically couple a first light conduit and a second light conduit enabling light having a first polarization and light having a second polarization to pass through the grating structure and propagate in the same direction in the first light conduit or the second light conduit. The non-uniform spacing of the gratings may represent an intersection or a union of a period associated with the light having the first polarization and a period associated with the light having the second polarization.

摘要: A method of manufacturing an optical cable including plural waveguides each including plural optical channels and each of the waveguides and the optical channels having a first end and a second end. A central portion of each of the waveguides is displaced along a central longitudinal axis of the waveguides which traverses a central bifurcation line of the first and second connectors. A first optical channel connection pattern is formed on the first connector by the first ends of the optical channels of the waveguides connected thereto; and a second optical channel connection pattern formed on the second connector by the second ends of the optical channels of the waveguides connect to the second connector. The first optical channel connection pattern is a different pattern than the second optical channel connection pattern in relation to a connection hole pattern which is the same for both the first and second connectors.
