    Abstract: A wound retractor includes a sleeve with proximal and distal ends, an inner ring inside the sleeve between the proximal and distal ends, and an outer ring outside the sleeve between the proximal and distal ends. The inner ring includes a tapered outer surface that increases in diameter from a proximal end of the inner ring toward a distal end of the inner ring. The outer ring includes a tapered inner surface that increases in diameter from a proximal end of the outer ring toward a distal end of the outer ring. A portion of the sleeve is captured between the tapered outer surface and the tapered inner surface.

    Abstract: A medical device includes a device body and an insufflation fitting coupled to and extending from the device body. The insufflation fitting includes an annular high-flow fitting portion and an annular low-flow fitting portion extending away from the device body from the annular high-flow fitting portion. The annular high-flow fitting portion includes a first inner surface and a radially outward sealing surface generally reverse from the first inner surface. The annular low-flow fitting portion includes an inner sealing surface and a first radially outward surface generally reverse from the inner sealing surface. The first inner surface of the annular high-flow fitting portion and the inner sealing surface of the annular low-flow fitting portion define an insufflation gas flow passageway through the insufflation fitting.

    Abstract: An instrument includes a shaft, a moveable component coupled to the shaft, and an actuation member drive assembly coupled to the shaft.     Abstract: Disclosed are medical devices for surgical procedures, especially procedures that involve the manipulation of surgical instrument end effectors close to the skin surface at an incision site. In accordance with some embodiments, an instalment access device is configured to couple to a wound retractor at a distal end of the device and to receive a multiple instrument entry guide in a port at the proximal end of the instrument access device, with an envelope (822) between the distal (804) and proximal (812) ends defining a sealed cavity for maintaining insufflation pressure. Various embodiments provide means for rotating an assistant port in the envelope about a port that receives the instrument entry guide without twisting the envelope. Also disclosed are various envelope shapes. Also disclosed is an instrument entry guide that aligns surgical instrument shafts.
