The process involves positioning a tip end of a shaft within a bore of a hosel of the golf club head and imparting vibrational energy at least 20 kiloHertz to the interface to ultrasonically weld the shaft to the interior wall of the hosel. The diffusion of materials creates a strong attachment off the shaft to the golf club head.
