摘要:
ACRYLONITRILE COPOLYMERS WHICH HAVE HIGH RECEPTIVITY TO ACID DYES AND ARE FLAME RESISTANT, AND ARE THUS USEFUL IN MAKING CARPETING, CURTAINS, ETC. AS WELL AS WEARING APPEREL, ETC., ARE TERNARY POLYMERS COMPOSED OF ACRYLONITRILE, VINYLIDENE CHLORIDE, AND A BASIC MONOMER OF THE TYPE OF THE DIMETHYLAMINOETHYL AND DIETHYLAMINOETHYL ESTERS OF ACRYLIC ACID AND OF METHACRYLIC ACID, AND THE CORRESPONDING N-SUBSTITUTED AMINOPROPL AND AMINOBUTYL ESTERS, ETC.; OR COPOLYMERS CONSISTING OF ACRYLONITRILE, VINYLIDENE CHLORIDE, A BASIC MONOMER OF THE AFORE-INDICATED TYPE AND ONE OR MORE NEUTRAL ETHYLENCIALLY UNSATURATED COMPOUNDS (I.E. METHYL ACRYLATE, METHYL METHACRYLATE, VINYL ACETAT, STYRENE).
摘要:
DISCOLORATION OF AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS OF ACRYLONITRILE POLYMERS BY HEAT AND/OR AGING, PARTICULARLY THOSE POLYMERS CONTAINING HALOGEN, IS PREVENTED BY THE ADDITION THERETO OF A COMBINATION OF A WATER-SOLUBLE INORGANIC BISULFITE AND EITHER A TRIORGANOPHOSPHITE OR AN ORGANOTIN CARBOXYLATE.

1,162,276. Photopolymerization of acrylonitrile. JAPAN EXLAN CO. Ltd. 23 June, 1967 [25 June, 1966], No. 29229/67. Heading C3P. An acrylonitrile polymer is produced by subjecting a solution of acrylonitrile alone or together with less than 50%, by weight of the total amount of monomers, of at least one other monomer in an aqueous thiocyanate salt to the action of light having a wavelength range of from 340 mÁ to 500 mÁ. A photosensitizer such as ditertiarybutyl peroxide, benzophenone, benzaldehyde, benzoin, #-naphthaldehyde or azobisisobutyronitrile and a chain transfer agent such as mercaptopropionic acid may be employed. Suitable thiocyanates are those of Na, K, Ca, Pb or Ba or ammonium thiocyanate. The aqueous medium may contain an alcoholic hydroxy group-containing liquid. In the examples, acrylonitrile is polymerized alone or together with styrene, vinyl acetate or N- methylol acrylamide in sodium thiocyanate solution containing in some cases benzaldehyde, azobisisobutyronitrile, a sodium pyrosulphite/ acetic acid mixture or mercaptoacetic acid. The acrylonitrile-methyl acrylate copolymer in Example 7 is produced by a continuous flow process.
