摘要: In multi-domain modulation, also known as overlaid modulation, information is transmitted over more than one modulation domain. In such a transmission, different modulation domains are overlaid on top of each other. Signaling that is indicative of multiple modulation domains for overlaid modulation and is indicative of multiple modulation switching intervals is communicated in a wireless communication network, data modulated using the overlaid modulation is also communicated in the wireless communication network. The multiple modulation switching intervals include a respective modulation switching interval for each of the multiple modulation domains, and each respective modulation switching interval is different from other modulation switching intervals in the multiple modulation switching intervals.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided in which uplink transmission of pilot uses time-frequency resources that overlap with time-resources for the uplink transmission of data, by the same UE or different UEs. This can result in a decrease in pilot overhead, or if longer pilot sequences are used, can result in a decrease in collision probability. In a group-based approach, UEs are organized into groups, and each group is allocated the same resources for pilot and data.

摘要: Some embodiments of the present disclosure provide control signaling mechanisms to support data transmission by a user equipment (UE) that is in the RRC_INACTIVE state and, more generally, in any inactive state. Beyond simply supporting data transmission by a user equipment that is in the RRC_INACTIVE state, aspects of the present application provide mechanisms for configuring the UE for preamble transmission or sounding reference signal (SRS) transmission and for toggling between such transmissions. Aspects of the present application relate to mechanisms for enabling Timing Advance estimation, which mechanisms are not burdened with high overhead and which allow the UE to remain in the RRC_INACTIVE state.

摘要: A user equipment (UE) receives control signaling in a scheduling bandwidth part (BWP). The control signaling indicates switching from a first active BWP to a second active BWP or switching from a first active BWP pair to a second active BWP pair for the UE. The control signaling aligns with a time unit boundary, such as a slot boundary, that is associated with the scheduling BWP. In the event that a scheduled BWP for a UE has a different numerology than a scheduling BWP that is currently active for the UE, the UE could switch from the scheduling BWP to the scheduled BWP based on a control signaling monitoring periodicity of the scheduled BWP.

摘要: Systems and methods for detecting potentially active user equipment (UE) in a network are provided. A set of potentially active UEs is detected using an iterative method. In a first iteration UE detection is performed using compressed sensing (CS) based on first pilot sequences to detect a first set of potentially active UEs. Channel estimation is then performed for the first set of potentially active UEs. In subsequent iterations, UE detection is performed using CS to detect another set, typically reduced in size, of potentially active UEs using results of the channel estimation from the previous iteration. Channel estimation is then again performed for the new set of potentially active UEs. After the last iteration, the set of potentially active UEs detected in the last iteration is output as the determined set of potentially active UEs along with channel estimates for the set of potentially active UEs determined in last iteration.

摘要: Control signaling mechanisms are provided to support data transmissions to or from a user equipment (UE) in an inactive state. In some embodiments, a UE in an inactive state receives DCI including: a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) scrambled by a radio network temporary identifier (RNTI) that is specific to a group of UEs, the group of UEs including the UE; and a resource assignment for a data transmission to the UE. The data transmission is then received on a physical shared channel. In further embodiments, a UE in an inactive state receives DCI including: a CRC scrambled by a paging RNTI; and a resource assignment for a paging message to the UE. A data transmission is received by the UE in the paging message or in a further transmission that is scheduled by the paging message.

摘要: Systems and methods for transmitting uplink control information, for example ACK/NACK, while in RRC_inactive state, are provided. Uplink control information is transmitted while in RRC_INACTIVE state by transmitting a sequence from a set of possible sequences to convey the uplink control information, the transmitted sequence associated with a value of the uplink control information. The sequence is asynchronously transmitted. Signalling may be used to configure a transmission resource within which to transmit the sequence, wherein the transmission resource has a time duration that is longer than a time duration to transmit the sequence. This has the effect of introducing a gap following sequence transmission that can ensure the sequence transmission does not interfere with a data transmission.
