Abstract: It is provided a surface-treated steel sheet that can be produced without using hexavalent chromium and has excellent film wet adhesion and coating secondary adhesion as well as high film corrosion resistance and coating corrosion resistance. It is a surface-treated steel sheet having: a steel sheet; a metallic Cr layer disposed on at least one surface of the steel sheet; and a Cr oxide layer disposed on the metallic Cr layer, and the surface-treated steel sheet has a water contact angle of 50° or less and a total atomic ratio of K, Na, Mg, and Ca adsorbed on the surface to Cr of 5% or less.

Abstract: A steel sheet for crown cap having: a chemical composition containing, C, Si, Mn, P, S, Al, N, with the balance being Fe and inevitable impurities; a ferrite phase in a region from a depth of ¼ of a sheet thickness to a mid-thickness part, the ferrite phase having a standard deviation of ferrite grain size of 7.0 μm or less; a yield strength of 560 MPa or more and 700 MPa or less in a rolling direction; and a difference of 25 MPa or more between a yield strength in a 2% strain tensile test and a yield strength in a tensile test after heat treatment at 170° C. for 20 minutes, in the rolling direction.

Abstract: A method of producing a surface-treated steel sheet, comprising: subjecting a steel sheet having a Sn coating or plating layer to an anodic electrolytic treatment in an alkaline aqueous solution to form a Sn oxide layer; and then subjecting the steel sheet to a cathodic electrolytic treatment in an aqueous solution containing zirconium ions to form a layer containing zirconium oxide, wherein the Sn coating or plating layer has a Sn coating weight of 0.1 g/m2 to 20.0 g/m2, the Sn oxide layer has, at a point in time when the Sn oxide layer is formed, a reduction current peak within a potential range of −800 mV to −600 mV and an electric quantity of a reduction current in the potential range of 1.5 mC/cm2 to 10.0 mC/cm2, and the layer containing zirconium oxide has a Zr coating weight of 0.1 mg/m2 to 50.0 mg/m2.

Abstract: A steel sheet for crown cap having excellent formability from which a crown cap having an excellent pressure resistance can be produced without an expensive soft liner even if the steel sheet is subjected to sheet metal thinning, the steel sheet having: a chemical composition containing, in mass %, C: more than 0.006% and 0.012% or less, Si: 0.02% or less, Mn: 0.10% or more and 0.60% or less, P: 0.020% or less, S: 0.020% or less, Al: 0.01% or more and 0.07% or less, and N: 0.0080% or more and 0.0200% or less, with the balance being Fe and inevitable impurities; and a percentage of a region of more than 0% and less than 20% at a position of ½ of a sheet thickness, the region having a dislocation density of 1×1014 m−2 or less.

A high strength steel sheet includes a composition containing, on a mass % basis, C: 0.05% to 0.30%, Si: 0.5% to 2.5%, Mn: 0.5% to 3.5%, P: 0.003% to 0.100%, S: 0.02% or less, Al: 0.010% to 1.5%, and N: 0.01% or less, the balance being Fe and unavoidable impurities, and a steel microstructure including a ferrite phase with an area fraction of 10% to 70%, a hard second phase with an area fraction of 30% to 90%, and a carbide that is at an interface between a ferrite phase and a hard second phase and that has an average equivalent-circle diameter of 200 nm or less.
