    Abstract: A material is press formed into a component shape including a top sheet portion including a curved outer peripheral edge portion curved in such a manner as to be recessed inward, a vertical wall portion, and a flange portion. When a lower die and a pad sandwich a sandwiching region that is a region including at least a part of a region corresponding to the top sheet portion, an upper die is moved in a pressing direction to perform bending while moving the sandwiched material to the vertical wall portion side. A surface of the lower die that sandwiches the sandwiching region is provided with one or more ridgelines for forming bends. The ridgelines are set at positions such that, when the bending is complete, the position of the top sheet portion is located on the vertical wall portion side rather than the positions of the ridgelines.

    Abstract: There are provided an evaluation method and a prediction method for a technology to be reflected in a press die designing method. A deformation limit evaluation method includes evaluating the deformation limit on a sheared surface of a metal sheet in press-forming the sheared metal sheet. The deformation limit is evaluated and a crack in the sheared surface is predicted based on the relationship between an index value determined from two surface strain distribution gradients of a surface strain distribution gradient in a sheet thickness direction in the sheared surface and a surface strain distribution gradient in a bending ridge line direction by bending in a direction away from the sheared surface at an evaluation position among distributions of strains generated near the boundary between a bending outside surface and the sheared surface of the metal sheet to be bent and a tension generated in the sheared surface.

    Abstract: There is provided a press forming method capable of suppressing a camber back, which occurs in a hat-shaped member while reducing a restriction on a shape of the hat-shaped member. At a time of the press forming, a blank material (4) in which a longitudinal line length is at least longer than a longitudinal line length of a top plate portion of a hat-shaped member (5) is fixed between a pair of press dies (lower die (2), upper die (3)), which have bent surfaces (convex surface (2a), concave surface (3a)), while being warped upward, that is, in a bending direction of the lower die (2) and the upper die (3). Subsequently, for the fixed blank material (4), a bent portion of the hat-shaped member (5) is press formed by using the convex surface (2a) and the concave surface (3a).

    Abstract: An apparatus that manufactures a closed-structure part includes a bottom portion and left and right side wall portions, including a press-forming die that form a plurality of first out-of-plane deformed portions and bent portions, the first out-of-plane deformed portions being formed in a region of a workpiece corresponding to the bottom portion and arranged along a longitudinal direction, each of the first out-of-plane deformed portions having a recessed shape or a protruding shape; a pad and a punch that squash the first out-of-plane deformed portions by clamping the region of the workpiece corresponding to the bottom portion therebetween, a cross-sectional shape of a pressing portion of the punch being curved along the longitudinal direction; and bending dies that bend the bent portions by pressing the punch into a space therebetween while the region of the workpiece corresponding to the bottom portion is clamped between the pad and the punch.
