摘要: A fitted bed sheet is disclosed. The bed sheet comprises a generally rectangular middle portion having a first fold line on a first edge and a second fold line on a second opposing edge. The bed sheet further comprises a first side portion having a generally concave shape. The first side portion is folded along the first fold line. The bed sheet further comprises a second side portion having a generally concave shape. The second side portion is folded along the second fold line such that the second side portion contacts the first side portion. The first side portion, the middle portion and the second side portion are coupled along opposing ends generally perpendicular to the first fold line and the second fold line.

摘要: The invention is an enhanced single-layer, multi-color luminescent display 10' comprising an insulator substrate 11' and a single layer of host material 13' having a smooth, flat top surface deposited thereon that hosts one or more different activators, therein forming a pattern of selected and distinctly colored phosphor areas 14', 16' and 17' which may be green, red and blue respectively in the single layer of host material 13'. Transparent electrical conductor means 12' may be provided for subjecting selected areas of the pattern of colored phosphor areas to an electric field thereby forming a multi-color, single layer electroluminescent display. A coactivator such as phosphorus (P) may be selectively introduced into one or more of the phosphor areas 16' and 17' to enhance the brilliance of the color or colors of the one or more selected phosphor areas without changing the electric field.A method of forming a multi-color luminescent display incudes the steps of depositing on an insulator substrate 10', a single layer of host material 12' with the properties to host varying quantities of different activators and a common activator into selected areas 14', 16' and 17' of said single layer of host material 12' as by thermal diffusion or ion-implementation to form a pattern of phosphor areas 16' and 1740 of selectively enhanced colors in said single layer of host material 12'.

摘要: The invention is method of forming a multi-color luminescent display including the steps of depositing on an insulator substrate a smooth single layer of host material which itself may be a phosphor with the properties to host varying quantities of different impurities and introducing one or more of said different impurities into selected areas of the single layer of host material via an appropriately positioned mask as by thermal diffusion or ion-implantation to form a pattern of phosphors of different colors in the single layer of host material such that the top surface of the host layer remains smooth. Red phosphors are formed by adding impurities selected from the group consisting of Sm, SmF.sub.3, Eu, EuF.sub.3, and ZnS:MnTbF.sub.3 to a ZnS host; green phosphors by adding impurities selected from the group consisting of Tb and TbF.sub.3 to a ZnS host; and blue phosphors by adding impurities selected from the group consisting of Tm, Al, Ag and Mg to a ZnS host.

摘要: A full-color, flat-panel, matrix-addressed, electroluminescent display 10 is achieved using red, green and blue phosphors in two layers separated by layers of insulating material 16, 20, 24 and 30 and layers of row 22 and column 14 and 32 electrodes used to excite the phosphors when voltage is applied. One phosphor layer is all one color 18 while the second phosphor layer is composed of alternating, side-by-side stripes of a second color 26 and a third color 28. At each intersection of the row 22 and column 14 and 32 electrodes, a picture element is formed by the two side-by-side color phosphors 26 and 28 as they are superimposed over the single color 18 layer.

摘要: A pyroelectric detector array and the method for making it. A series of holes 13 formed through a silicon dioxide layer 12 on the surface of a silicon substrate 11 forms the mounting fixture for the pyroelectric detector array. A series of nontouching strips of indium 14 are formed around the holes 13 to make contact with the backside electrodes 16 and form the output terminals for individual detectors. A pyroelectric detector strip 15 with front and back electrodes 17 and 16, respectively, is mounted over the strips 14. Biasing resistors 18 are formed on the surface of the silicon dioxide layer and connected to the strips 14. A metallized pad 19 formed on the surface of layer 12 is connected to each of the biasing resistors 18 and to the film 17 to provide the ground for the pyroelectric detector array.
