摘要： A stirring hot plate for simultaneously heating and stirring a mixture includes a phase controlled motor that spins magnets which couple to, and thereby spin, a stir bar within the mixture. In addition to spinning the magnets, the motor includes an operational mode in which the motor is rapidly braked thereby quickly spinning down the stir bar. The stirring hot plate also includes a visual indicator to the user that the platform is hot-to-the-touch that is especially effective when the stirring hot plate is not in use.

摘要： Controls for stirrers, hot plates and stirring hot plates provide respective user interfaces having a single control knob that is used to provide a plurality of setpoints. The control permits a user to pause a stirring operation of stirrers and stirring hot plates, unload a vessel, load a new vessel, and restart the stirring without having to re-enter a speed setpoint. Also, current operational parameters may be stored as preset setpoints. The control further permits a user to program a calibration temperature that is similar to the temperatures expected to be encountered during operation.

The look up table incorporates a covariance matrix of elements containing n tone reproduction samples. A matrix multiplier responds to sensed developed patch samples and to the look up table to reproduce a complete tone reproduction curve. A control reacts to the reproduced tone reproduction curve to adjust machine quality.

摘要： A method to mitigate attack by an upstream service provider using cloud mitigation services. An edge detection device, which located at the subscriber's network edge, is able to communicate information via status messages about attacks to an upstream service provider. The service provider is then able to mitigate attacks based on the status messages. There is a feedback loop whereby the amount of dropped traffic by the service provider is added to the network traffic to keep the mitigation request open and prevent flapping. Likewise, the detection device includes time-to-engage and time-to-disengage timers to further prevent flapping.

摘要： A protective assembly for an operating nut of an actuator for a valve in an underground pipe system is comprised of a guide assembly and a mounting assembly. A riser pipe is used to access the operating nut from above ground. The protective assembly maintains alignment of the riser pipe at installation and as the ground shifts over time. The guide assembly is formed of a guide structure and a mounting collar that juts outwardly from the guide structure forming a flange. The mounting assembly has a first portion for attaching the mounting assembly to the flange, and a second portion for attaching the mounting assembly to the actuator.
