摘要: A bottled water dispenser is disclosed that includes a water bottle, a cold tank, and an ozone generator, which is fluidly coupled to a Y-connector. The dispenser includes a first tube that is fluidly coupled to a first port of the Y-connector, with the first tube being configured to deliver ozone gas to the cold tank. The dispenser further includes a second tube that is fluidly coupled to a second port of the Y-connector, with the second tube being configured to deliver ozone gas to the water bottle. The ozone gas is effective to sterilize and prevent biofilm formation within the interior areas of the cold tank and water bottle. The dispensers further include an in-line flow restrictor positioned in-line with either the first tube or second tube, which helps balance the flow of ozone that is delivered to the cold tank and water bottle.

摘要: A diffuser is disclosed and includes a channel with an inner portion having an inlet and an outlet through which a gaseous substance enters and exits the diffuser, respectively. The inner portion includes a first conical section that has an increasing cross-sectional area, taken along a plane perpendicular to a central axis, in a first direction. The inner portion also includes a second conical section that has a decreasing cross-sectional area, taken along a plane perpendicular to the central axis, in the first direction. The second conical section is communicatively coupled with the first conical section. The outer portion includes a first annular section that has an increasing cross-sectional area, taken along a plane perpendicular to the central axis, in a second direction opposite the first direction. The diffuser further includes a plurality of orifices that communicatively couple the second conical section with the first annular section.

摘要: Equipment for massive dissolution of gases in liquids via the formation of thin liquid films and the exchange of gases with said films. The equipment provides movement of liquids over great distances via the upward movement of bubbles therein. The equipment can alter the direction of the flow of water, said aspect being useful for the recovery of liquid bodies. In addition to providing a high rate of dissolution of gases in liquids, the equipment is very energy-efficient and has a very large volumetric capacity, thereby being useful for the preservation and/or recovery of liquid bodies, being able, in certain applications, to operate in an energy-autonomous manner. The equipment can be used in situations where energy-efficient dissolution of gases in liquids is desired, such as the preservation and/or recovery of liquid bodies; processes for preserving and/or improving the productivity of aquaculture systems; wastewater treatment systems; and the fixation of gases.

摘要: A system for gas impregnation of a liquid includes a container for holding a product ingredient, a first still liquid conduit for conveying a still product including the ingredient, a gas cylinder providing a gas conduit with a compressed gas such as Nitrogen. The system includes two or more pressure chambers each having a corresponding liquid fill valve to control the flow of a still product filling the pressure chamber, and a gas diffuser for diffusing the compressed gas into the still product to produce a gas infused product. A multi-way valve in fluid communication with each of the pressure chambers directs the gas infused product from a selected one of the pressure chambers to a first charged product conduit for supplying a charged liquid dispenser, and blocks fluid from flowing from other, non-selected, ones of the pressure chambers. A method for using the subject system is also provided.

摘要: A process and apparatus for separating components of a source gas is provided in which more soluble components of the source gas are dissolved in an aqueous solvent at high pressure. The system can utilize hydrostatic pressure to increase solubility of the components of the source gas. The apparatus includes gas recycle throughout multiple mass transfer stages to improve mass transfer of the targeted components from the liquid to gas phase. Separated components can be recovered for use in a value added application or can be processed for long-term storage, for instance in an underwater reservoir.

摘要: In a method of carbonating a beverage using a carbon dioxide diffusing stone, temperature is measured in a flow of that beverage immediately before the flow changes from laminar to effervescent, thereby obtaining a true temperature at which carbon dioxide is diffused into the beverage. In another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a portable controller having connectors joinable to a gas pressure regulator of a gas cylinder and to any one of several beverage carbonation containers. The portable controller has instruments therein for controlling a flow of carbon dioxide gas to the beverage in any one of the containers and for controlling a pressure gradient of the carbon dioxide gas in the beverage over a period of time. There is also provided an elongated carbon dioxide diffusing stone assembly having an elongated temperature probe well extending parallel to and immediately below a diffusing stone.

摘要: A method of entraining gas in a flowable food product comprising the steps of accelerating the flowable food product in a flow direction through a flow channel that includes a ramp. Gas is injected into the flowable food product transverse to the flow direction through a porous surface or plate while the food product traverses the ramp to generate a froth. An apparatus for entraining gas in a food product, comprises a source of flowable food product and a food product pump to accelerate the food product through a flow channel. A ramp is disposed in the flow channel as well as a porous surface forming a wall of the flow channel opposite the ramp. A source of gas is in communication with the porous surface, wherein gas is entrained in the food product as it passes by the ramp and the porous surface.
