    摘要: A transfer device usable in a system for intraluminal treatment of a selected site in a body of a patient in which the transfer device comprises an integral pump for pressurizing and circulating fluid through a fluid path defined by the transfer device and associated catheter. A removable fluid cartridge is provided including a reservoir from which fluid is drawn by the pump and into which fluid is returned after being circulated through the fluid path. The pump may be a peristaltic pump and the fluid cartridge may include an elongated fluid pick-up having an inlet through which fluid is introduced into the transfer device. The fluid pick-up is sized in length so that the inlet is always submerged in the fluid regardless of the orientation of the transfer device. A removable treatment cartridge having a lumen forming part of the fluid path may also be provided, and a storage sleeve for the treatment cartridge may be of a radiation-blocking material, such as quartz. Further, the treatment cartridge may have a memory for storing and indicating selected information about the treating element.

    摘要: A catheter probe comprising a flexible elongate tubular member having proximal and distal extremities. An expandable assembly capable of moving from a contracted position to an expanded position is secured to the distal extremity of the flexible elongate tubular member and is formed from at least two elongate members movable between contracted and expanded positions. The elongate members have extremities which are joined so that the elongate members extend at an angle relative to each other to form a vee therebetween. A plurality of longitudinally and radially spaced-apart electrodes are carried by the expandable assembly so that they can be moved into engagement with the wall of the heart when the expandable assembly is expanded into the expanded position. Electrical conductors extend through the elongate tubular member and are connected to the electrodes for performing electrical functions with respect to the electrodes. An elastomeric material is adhered to the joined extremities of the elongate members and is disposed within the vee for inhibiting the formation of thrombus on the elongate members while the expandable assembly is disposed within the blood of the heart.

    摘要: Perfusion dilatation catheter and method of manufacturing the same. The catheter has an elongated flexible shaft with an inflatable balloon mounted near the distal end of the shaft. A first lumen in the shaft communicates with the balloon for inflating and deflating the balloon. A second lumen extends between the proximal and distal ends of the shaft and is adapted to receive a guide wire. Openings formed in the side wall of the shaft on the proximal and distal sides of the balloon communicate with the second lumen to provide a path for blood to flow past the balloon when it is inflated.
