摘要: A process for manufacturing a plastic fuel tank including at least one component, by molding a parison using a mold including two impressions and a core, the process including: introducing a parison into the mold impressions; introducing a core inside the parison, the core having a moving device including the at least one component closing the mold so that the impressions come into leaktight contact with the core; pressing the parison against the impressions by blowing through the core and/or applying a vacuum behind the impressions; fastening the at least one component on an inner wall of the parison; opening the mold to withdraw the core; and final molding the parison by blow-molding and/or thermoforming; and to enable its fastening to the parison, the component is moved away from the core by the moving device through a combination of a rotational motion and a linear motion.

摘要: A method for manufacturing a polymeric inner liner for a storage tank, particularly a hydrogen storage tank, comprising: providing a cylindrical body of polymer material, having a first open end and a first peripheral connection tab at the first open end, the cylindrical body comprising a structural layer and a barrier layer; providing a dome-shaped end cap of polymer material having a base with a cross-section essentially corresponding to a cross-section of the first open end of the cylindrical body and having a second peripheral connection tab at a peripheral end portion of such end cap; placing the end cap with its base onto the first open end of the cylindrical body and with the first and second peripheral tabs in contact with each other; and welding both peripheral connection tabs together. A storage tank made using such liner. Use of such tank for storing hydrogen.

The method comprises the steps of: blow molding the inner liner by extruding a parison, pinching the inner liner at least at one extremity to create a pinch and then blowing the parison; providing the connecting part with a slot of appropriate shape and size to receive a part of the pinch; inserting the part of the pinch in the slot so as to secure the inner liner and the connecting part; and applying the outer filament winding around the liner and the connecting part.

摘要: A method is provided for increasing the contact area between a damper wire and a sheet metal component in a combustion cowl of a gas turbine engine. This increase in contact area reduces the wear rate on the combustor cowl. A first curl is formed in the sheet metal component. A damper wire is situated to have a common contact area with the sheet metal component within the first curl. The first curl is die-formed around the damper wire before applying a heat treat operation to the structure. A final die-form closes the sheet metal curl around the damper wire.
