    摘要: Various technologies and techniques are disclosed for improving configuration of database audits. Multiple audits can be created for a database. Any one of the audits can be turned off without impacting an operation of any remaining audits. Database audits can be ported from one database server instance to another. Database audit metadata is stored in a database separately from a database server instance to which the database is attached. The database can be detached from the database server instance and attached to a second database server instance, with the database audit metadata moving along with the database automatically. Any audits associated with the database audit metadata are automatically activated for the second database server instance. Database audits can be configured using a hierarchical model.

    摘要: A passive infrared detection system includes a reflective optical system comprising a focusing element (e.g. an elliptical or parabolic reflector) having an apparent focal length dependent upon the displacement of incident rays from the optical axis of such element, and a plurality of planar reflectors arranged at different angles with respect to such optical axis to provide the detection system with a plurality of different zones of detection, each having a different maximum detection range associated with it. According to the invention, the planar reflectors are arranged with respect to the focusing element so that each planar reflector cooperates with a different portion of the focusing element to project onto an IR detector located at the focus of such focusing element a relatively constant size image of a given target located at the maximum detection range associated with that planar reflector. Such an optical system provides the detection system with more uniform sensitivity from one zone of detection to another.

    摘要: An apparatus for enabling and disabling a lookdown zone mask in an intrusion detector unit. The unit may include a passive infrared motion detector, a lens assembly, and a mask or cover which selectively enables and disables a lookdown zone associated with the detector. The lens assembly provides a lens proximate the detector. The lens provides the lookdown zone. When the mask substantially covers the lens, the lookdown zone is disabled because the path of radiant energy to the detector is blocked and prevents the detector from detecting any motion in the lookdown zone. When the mask does not cover the lens, the lookdown zone is enabled because the lens permits the path of radiant energy to the detector through the lens and allows the detector to detect any motion in the lookdown zone.

    摘要: A modular intrusion detection system that includes a base unit having a primary intrusion detection device and a housing. The primary housing includes a base housing section and an outer cover. The base housing section includes a first mounting interface. A plurality of different secondary housing sections having a second mounting interface which can be attached to the first mounting interface of the base housing section are provided. The secondary housing sections may have a functional device, such as a CCD camera or a microphone, associated therewith. The camera or microphone may be activated to an alarm signal generated by the intrusion detection device. A plurality of different base units, each having an intrusion detection device, may also be provided wherein each of the base units is attachable to each of the secondary housings, and secondary devices associated therewith, to provide flexibility in assembling individual devices.

    摘要: A smoke detector includes a dark chamber surrounded by a peripheral wall structure having a plurality of nested vanes. The second element of each vane is shorter than the first, and intersects the first element intermediate its ends at an acute angle. Adjacent vanes define a tortuous path that requires a minimum of three, and in most cases four, reflections for light to reach the inside of the chamber. Adjacent vanes define twisted channels leading from outside the chamber into the chamber for blocking light without substantially restricting the flow of air. The channels each include an outer section that extends in a direction toward the center of said chamber to define a channel entrance that admits airborne smoke with approximately equal resistance from opposite directions. The channels also define second and third sections that bend inwardly from the entrance toward said chamber, first in one direction and then sharply in another direction.
