摘要: A classification system automatically generates an indication that a training feature vector case is a pollutant based on a mis-labelled reference image. It excludes the case from the set, builds a k-nearest neighbour confidence classifier, and then classifies the case using this classifier. The case may be marked as suspect if its classification does not match what is determined, or if they do match, if the confidence level is below a threshold. The system can automatically remove or re-label all suspect cases.

摘要: A classification system or classifying images of solder joints has a two-sided classifier to which query cases are presented. It can operate in an environment without task-specific counter-concept cases (“bad examples”) because it filters a library of general counter-concept cases to provide a refined set of counter-concept cases. The filtering is performed by a one-sided classifier, which uses a base of task-specific concept cases to perform the filtration.

摘要: A wheelchair can include a control system that is configured to operate the wheelchair using an input device and a scanning device. The scanning device may be programmed to have a multi-tiered scan sequence. A first tier of the multi-tiered scan sequence may include at least a first operation option that is configured to operate a specific function of the wheelchair. A second tier of the multi-tiered scan sequence may include at least a second operation option that is also configured to operate a specific function of the wheelchair. The second operation option is generally selected less frequently than the first operation option included in the first tier.

摘要: A system and a method for using ePaper as a light control media in lighting fixtures or other light enhanced applications to modify, dim or color-shift the light used for lighting the space. One system includes a light source, an ePaper reflector with controllable reflectivity for controlling the light reflected from the reflector and/or an ePaper baffle with controllable translucency for controlling the light through the baffle. The light incident on the ePaper media may include light from other sources such as natural light. One method compares desired lighting in a space to characteristics of the light source. Characteristics of the ePaper media are then adjusted to provide the desired amount of light to the objects under illumination. Reflectivity from walls and furniture may be controlled by applying ePaper to their surfaces. The light source and the ePaper media may be controlled simultaneously to control the lighting.

摘要: The present invention provides a docking station (501) for a tablet computer (339) with or without an extended battery (301). This docking station (501) comprises a docking assembly for positioning with three degrees of freedom and having a data connector for mechanically supporting and interfacing with the tablet computer (339). A support member (505) couples the cradle (507) assembly to an expansion base (503). The base (503) includes a number of ports (54, 56, 60, 62) for interfacing with a variety of peripheral devices or power supplies. These varieties of ports mount to a printed circuit board contained within the expansion base (503). A flexible printed circuit (FPC) (64) combines the signal pathways for the variety of ports, allowing the signal pathways to travel from the printed circuit board (64) and to the data connector (519). The docking station (501) can support the tablet computer (339) in any orientation from landscape to portrait and can simultaneously charge both the tablets main battery (347) and the extended battery (301) while cradled in the docking station (501).

摘要: Risk of visual impairment including Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) and cataracts increase with age. This increased risk can be caused by changes in the structure and function of the eye or changes in structures of the central nervous system that support visual perception. The present invention comprises fruit flavored, chewable formulations of supplements for reducing the risk of AMD. Chewable dosage forms of the invention are preferred over other formulations and may increase compliance in an aging population, who are more likely to require an eye health supplement and have an increased risk of experiencing dysphagia.
