Abstract: In a display apparatus provided with an electrophoresis layer, such a display apparatus as to improve the response performance of a touch detection is provided. A driving unit included in a display apparatus alternately repeats a display driving process for supplying a first driving signal to a driving electrode disposed in a selected partial display region and a detection driving process for supplying a second driving signal to a driving electrode disposed in another selected partial display region while successively cyclically changing the partial display region and successively cyclically changing another partial detection region. Moreover, in the detection driving process, a touch detection unit included in the display apparatus detects an input position at another selected partial detection region based on an electrostatic capacitance of the driving electrode disposed at another selected detection region.

Abstract: In a display apparatus provided with an electrophoresis layer, such a display apparatus capable of operating a driving electrode for use in displaying an image as an electrode for use in detecting an input position is provided. A display apparatus includes: a substrate; another substrate that is disposed so as to face the substrate; an electrophoresis layer sandwiched between the substrate and another substrate; a plurality of pixel electrodes formed on the substrate; and a plurality of driving electrodes formed on another substrate. Abstract: A LCD panel is proposed, which meets analog display mode and memory display mode. The LCD panel includes a capacitive element, first to third switch elements, and a circuit. The first switch element turns ON during a first operation for writing pixel potential from signal line to the capacitive element, and turns OFF during a second operation. The second and third switch elements turn OFF during the first operation. The second switch element turns ON during a readout period in the second operation, to read out the pixel potential from the capacitive element. The third switch element turns ON during a write period in the second operation, to rewrite the pixel potential into the capacitive element.
