    摘要： Methods and apparatuses are disclosed for delivering a message to a communications device. One method migrates a subscriber's communications device to a Global System for Mobile communications network. The subscriber's communications device is migrated from a Time Division Multiple Access communications network or a Code Division Multiple Access communications network. An origination request is received from the communications device, and the origination request is for sending the message from the communications device. The origination request includes a network address. The network address is associated to a signaling point code, and the signaling point code identifies a message service center in the Global System for Mobile communications network. The origination request is routed to the message service center in the Global System for Mobile communications network, wherein the origination request is processed by the message service center.

    摘要： A method used in wireless communications for displaying an icon on a wireless communications device indicating that a calling party is a subscriber of a same wireless communications service provider of a called party. A terminating mobile station switching center (MSC) flags a routing number port associated with a routing number and returns the routing number to an originating MSC when it determines that a request for the routing number is sent from a home locator register (HLR) of the called party's wireless communications service provider and the calling party is also a subscriber of the called party's wireless communications service provider. When receiving an incoming call, the terminating MSC inspects whether the incoming call is to be sent through a flagged routing number port. If so, the terminating MSC generates a SETUP message with an instructions to display the icon. In responsive to the SETUP message, the wireless communications device of the called party displays the icon accordingly, indicating that the calling party is a subscriber of the same wireless communications service provider as the called party.

    摘要： An enhanced alerting system delivers caller identification information to a user of a mobile communications device with the called device announcing in an audio format the name associated with a calling device. The enhanced alerting system may be implemented by an Internet Protocol (IP) based system, e.g., IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS). In at least one embodiment of the invention, an application server streams the announcement to the called communications device. In at least one embodiment of the invention, the service is network controlled. In at least one embodiment of the invention, the service is user equipment controlled. In at least one embodiment of the invention, a calling communications device streams the announcement to the called communications device in a request for a call session with the called communications device.

A location of the destination mobile device can be compared to a display condition for one or more display devices. If the display condition is met for the given device, MCID information for the incoming call is provided to and displayed on the display device. The display condition can be based on the proximity of the mobile destination device and the display device.
