    摘要: A cutting device for a cutting machine comprises a chain guided in translation along a cutting plane by a chain guide and has cutting tools arranged alternately on either side of the cutting plane. Each cutting tool has a curved cutting end, which curves towards the outside of the cutting plane and defines a concave surface. A scraper is positioned on either side and in the vicinity of the chain guide and cutting tools parallel to the cutting plane, said scraper having two ends projecting towards said plane, each having a convex surface complementary to the concave surface, so that said ends remove cutting waste from the tools during the passage of the tools on the scraper. The cutting device is especially useful for cutting soft, sticking, or dirtying materials.

    摘要: A process and apparatus for the continuous manufacture of cheese starting with the ultrafiltration retentate of milk or a milk product until the solids content is approximately that of the desired cheese. Additional constituents such as fat are added so that the resulting cheese precursor or precheese has solids content and fat to solids ratio substantially the same as the desired cheese. The cheese precursor is heated and mixed with rennet. The rate of flow of this mixture into a coagulation cylinder is controlled so that the flow in the coagulation cylinder is laminar throughout. The temperature of the cylinder wall is maintained slightly below that of entering mixture so as to obtain, in equilibrium, the formation of a coagulation front which is substantially plane and at right angles to the axis of the coagulation cylinder, thereby homogenizing the texture of the resulting curd. The cylinder cross section is approximately that of the desired cheese. The coagulation cylinder opens into a floatation tank which separates cut slices from the cylindrical mass of curd issuing from the cylinder. No treatment is required between the cutting of slices and ripening. The floatation liquid is also circulated through a shell around the cylinder to maintain its wall at the desired temperature. This process may be used for soft, semi-hard and hard cheese but is particularly adapted to relatively small diameter cheese intended to be sold whole by the retailer.

    摘要: There is described an interconnect hub for routing an Instant Message (IM) or related communication between a sending IM device in a first IM community and a recipient IM device in one of a plurality of potential second IM communities. The interconnect hub comprises a router for determining the destination of IM communications and routing the IM communications to the intended recipient, a search function for finding the service provider providing IM services to the user identifier, and a cache comprising a plurality of records associating user identifiers with corresponding service providers (mobile or Internet). When the IM communication is received by the interconnect hub, the router examines the recipient user identifier, accesses the cache keying on the recipient user identifier, retrieves the service provider associated with the recipient user identifier, and forwards the IM communication to the associated service provider for delivery to the intended recipient. If there is no record in the cache for the user identifier, the searcher initiates a search to identify the service provider and to update the cache if the service provider is found.

When a user begins generating an instant message, the sending device transmits a service request to a payload and connection server to indicate that an instant message is pending. Upon receipt of the service request, the payload and connection server notifies the receiving device so that the receiving device can initiate traffic channel set-up concurrently while the instant message is being recorded. When the traffic channel is established, the receiving device polls the server. If the instant message is not yet received by the payload and connection server when the polling request is received, the payload and connection server waits a predetermined period of time to receive the pending instant message and forwards the instant message when it is received.
