摘要： An electrical connector is provided. The electrical connector includes a substrate and an elastomeric element extending outwardly from the substrate. The elastomeric element extends outwardly from a base portion thereof at the substrate to an end portion thereof that is opposite the base portion. An electrical contact engages an electrically conductive element of the substrate. The electrical contact has a portion extending over at least a portion of the end portion of the elastomeric element.

摘要： A connector assembly includes a housing, a contact and a compressive coupling member. The housing has a mating interface and a mounting interface on opposing sides of the housing. The mounting interface is configured to engage a first substrate when the housing is mounted to the first substrate. The mating interface is configured to mate with a mating connector that is mounted to a second substrate. The housing is configured to engage and interconnect the substrates in a parallel arrangement. The contact extends between and protrudes from the interfaces of the housing and is configured to provide an electrical connection between the substrates. The compressive coupling member is configured to extend through the substrates and the housing in a direction transverse to the interfaces. The coupling member is configured to apply a compressive force to the housing to secure the housing with the mating connector to electrically and mechanically interconnect the substrates.

摘要： An electrical connector for electrically coupling an electronic module and an electrical component. The connector includes a connector body that has first and second mating surfaces. The connector body includes interconnects that extend through the connector body between the first and second mating surfaces for electrically coupling the module and the component. The connector body has a hole extending therethrough along a central axis. The hole is configured to receive a guide pin from one of the module and the component. The connector also includes surface mount projections that are coupled to the connector body and extend toward the central axis of the hole. The projections engage and flex against the guide pin when the guide pin is inserted into the hole. The projections form an interference fit with the guide pin to hold the connector body in a mounted position.

The mating and mounting interfaces have contact openings in a noise-reducing contact pattern. The contact openings in the pattern are arranged in pairs along respective contact lines. The contact lines of adjacent pairs are transverse to one another. The contacts extend through the contact openings and are arranged in the noise-reducing contact pattern through the housing between the mating and mounting interfaces to reduce at least one of electric noise and cross-talk in signals communicated by the contacts.

Opposed side walls upwardly extend from the top side of the base. A datum protrusion is formed on each of the side walls. The datum protrusions define a first dimension extending in a first direction and a second dimension extending in a second direction that is perpendicular to the first direction. The first and second dimensions extend from a maximum protrusion on one of the side walls to a maximum protrusion on an opposed side wall. An inspection window is proximate each datum protrusion. The inspection window enables a measurement of the first dimension and the second dimension.

摘要： An infrared communications adapter (10) is provided having a two part housing (22, 24) that snaps together to form a housing assembly (12) having an interior cavity (30). The interior cavity contains a circuit board (32) having communications circuitry and components thereon, including light emitting diodes (42, 44, 46) for indicating operating status of the unit and a photodiode array (34) for receiving and transmitting infrared signals. The adapter (10) includes a light pipe (50) having three light conducting channels (204, 206, 208) that conduct light from the three light emitting diodes (42, 44, 46) to viewing facets (190, 192, 194) on the light pipe that extend through openings in the housing (12). A lens (20) is arranged in a front end of the housing directly in front of the photodiode array (34). An articulated coupling 60 removably couples a stand (14) to the housing assembly (12) and permits aiming of the unit for receiving and transmitting the infrared signals. A cable (16) is terminated at one end to the circuitry on the circuit board (32) and at the other end to a connector (18) that is connected to an input/output data port of a computer or other equipment.

The frame assembly includes a plurality of contacts and a dielectric frame supporting the contacts and disposed between the conductive holder and the contacts. The contacts extend from the conductive holder for electrical termination. A front housing receives the contact module therein. The front housing has a plurality of clip supports at a rear of the front housing. A rib clip is held by the clip supports. The rib clip has a plurality of grounding fingers that extend therefrom that are configured to engage corresponding header shields of a header assembly. The rib clip includes a plurality of mounting tabs that extend therefrom for engaging the conductive holder to electrically connect the rib clip to the conductive holder.
