摘要： An electrical connector for electrically coupling an electronic module and an electrical component. The connector includes a connector body that has first and second mating surfaces. The connector body includes interconnects that extend through the connector body between the first and second mating surfaces for electrically coupling the module and the component. The connector body has a hole extending therethrough along a central axis. The hole is configured to receive a guide pin from one of the module and the component. The connector also includes surface mount projections that are coupled to the connector body and extend toward the central axis of the hole. The projections engage and flex against the guide pin when the guide pin is inserted into the hole. The projections form an interference fit with the guide pin to hold the connector body in a mounted position.

摘要： A socket connector including a socket base having a slot oriented at a first angle with respect to a bottom surface of the socket base. The socket connector also includes a contact having a base beam and a retention portion. The retention portion forms an initial angle with the base beam before the contact is assembled with the socket base that differs from the first angle. The socket base receives the contact with the retention portion held in the slot such that an angle between the base beam and the retention portion is changed from the initial angle.

摘要： A cover for an electrical socket includes multiple walls joined with one another and configured to overlay an electrical socket. A latch element is provided with at least one of the walls to securely retain the walls against the electrical socket. A rigid member is secured to the walls and retains the walls in a predefined relation with respect to one another. The rigid member includes a heat resistant plate rigidly mounted to the walls of the cover which include lower edges and upper edges aligned in a common plane. The upper and lower edges are configured to abut against and retain the electrical socket in a common planar relation with one another. Brackets extending from the walls slidably receive the rigid member.

摘要： A connector assembly includes an electrical connector having an outer end and a plurality of pins at the outer end. The connector assembly also includes a mating adapter having a mating interface and a mounting interface. The mating interface engages the outer end and the mounting interface is configured to engage a circuit board. The mating adapter has conductors extending between the mating interface and the mounting interface. The conductors receive corresponding pins of the electrical connector. The mating adapter has surface mount elements arranged on the mounting interface that are electrically connected to corresponding conductors and are configured to be terminated to the circuit board to electrically interconnect the electrical connector and the circuit board.
