    摘要: A method and system for predicting ink usage during a print job for an ink jet printer and displaying information in connection with ink usage on a system monitor. The method steps include determining the initial ink level of an ink cartridge and developing a histogram of ink usage associated with a threshold number of items to be printed. The threshold number is less than the total number of items to be printed and should be an amount representative of each of the print items. The usage associated with the threshold number, i.e., the histogram, may then be extrapolated to evaluate the number of items which can be printed before the ink cartridge is depleted. The number of items which can be printed is then displayed to the user/operator on a system monitor so that a determination can be made concerning whether the print job may be completed. Additionally, the time remaining and/or the ink cartridge to be depleted first can be displayed to provide additional information to the operator concerning the replacement/replenishment of ink cartridges.

    摘要: A key alignment system for safety interlock switches uses alignment holes, and alignment pins to compensate for misalignment between a body assembly and a key assembly. The misalignment is often due to normal wear and tear or outright abuse of a gate or other movable member that should be safely interlocked. The key is fixed to a floating plate connected to a mounting plate by a suspension. The alignment pins and holes on or in a fixed alignment assembly and the floating plate can move the floating plate into a position such that the key enters the key hole. Some embodiments incorporate the fixed alignment assembly into the body assembly. The normal function of a keyed safety interlock wherein the key can be caught and held or released is preserved and enhanced by compensating for misalignment.

In the safety switch (100), the plunger (27) is displaceable between first and second positions responsive to the cam mechanism (12). The safety switch (100) further includes at least one securing member (127) interacting with the plunger (27) and displaceable between a locked and a released position. When the securing member (127) is in the released position, movement of the plunger (27) is allowed. When the plunger (27) is in the second position, the securing member (127) is displaced from the released position to the locked position, which secures the plunger (27) in the second position.

    摘要: A voltage regulator operable as a voltage follower while a fusible link is closed and in a regulated voltage mode when the fusible link becomes open. The voltage regulator can be formed on monolithic semiconductor chips. Patterned thin films including aluminum and nickel-iron, and aluminum and polycrystalline silicon, comprise the fusible link. With the fusible link closed, the voltage regulator output is an analog of positive polarity variable voltage levels at the regulator input. Systems powered by the voltage regulator are allowed to be programmed until system programming requiring variable voltage levels is complete. Afterwards, a negative polarity voltage is applied to the regulator input causing a large current to pass through the fusible link once the system programming is completed. Current thereby causes the fusible link to become opened and enables the voltage regulator to begin operating at a regulated voltage in response to positive voltage input.

A plunger is slidably mounted with respect to the base so that the plunger moves between a first position and a second position. One or more moveable contacts are mounted in a normally open position or a normally closed position. In the first position or the second position, the moveable contacts make contact and/or break contact with the stationary contacts depending upon the respective arrangements of the stationary contacts and the moveable contacts. Thus the configuration of a four-circuit switch can be altered with a minimum of different components to be, for example, a four normally closed circuit configuration, three normally closed and one normally open circuit configuration, two normally closed and two normally open circuit configuration, etc., with a minimum of expense or retooling.
