摘要： The present invention relates to a display apparatus comprising a light emitting element supplying light, and a switch to switch on and off power, which is supplied to the light emitting element. A comparing unit compares a predetermined first reference voltage and an output voltage which is proportional to a current applied to the light emitting element. A controller compares a comparison voltage output, which is a comparison result of the comparing unit and a predetermined second reference voltage, in order to control the switch to be switched on and off. Accordingly, the present invention provides a display apparatus and control method which precisely controls a size of a current applied to a light emitting element.

The backlight unit driving apparatus includes a plurality of flash lamps at a backlight unit to supply light to a liquid crystal panel, supplies voltage necessary for discharge, and supplies a discharge initiating voltage so that the flash lamps can emit lights in a sequential order. 摘要： The present invention provides a display apparatus and method supplying power to a light source where driving power is supplied to the light source, a main power path is provided through which the driving power is supplied from the power supply to the light source, a standby power path is branched from the main power path and returned to the power supply, a switching unit selects the driving power to be supplied from the power supply to either of the main power path or the standby power path, a standby power adjuster adjusts standby power applied to the standby power path and a controller controls the standby power adjuster to make the standby power be within an allowable range when the power is not applied to the main power path. Accordingly, a display apparatus and method which prevent a standby power from being continuously boosted up when a light source is turned off, thereby improving a display performance thereof are provided.

The present invention provides an apparatus and method for emitting light by driving a plurality of light emitting parts to independently emit light in various brightness levels with a simplified circuit configuration and improved efficiency.
