The fabric layer can be disposed, directly or indirectly, onto a pillowcase, pillow, comforter, comforter cover, head support, bed cloth, sleeping bag, mattress, cushion, blanket, and garment.

A renewable energy source is converted into a desired DC voltage that is delivered to a DC motor controller of a permanent magnet motor. A micro controller monitors the amount of supplied renewable DC having the desired DC voltage, which is delivered to each phase of the motor by turning on FET switches on demand. If the renewable DC available at a given instant is not adequate to power a particular phase of the motor, then the micro controller turns on backup FET switches that are part of an independent drive circuit that is in parallel with drive circuits of the renewable DC power circuit, to deliver to the motor line DC, which is produced from an AC supply that has gone through an AC to DC converter. Once charged, the renewable DC power will power the next available phase of the motor.

Some embodiments provide multi-tenant billing systems and methods whereby data network usage fees that are associated with delivering select content of different content providers over a data network are passed to the content provider that originates or is the source for that select content instead of the end users that request and receive the select content. A deep packet inspection server or a billing server may be configured with a list of identifiers to distinguish between the network usage that is related to the delivery of the designated free content from the network usage that is not related to the delivery of the designated free content. The network usage can be distinguished by filtering or processing usage logs that track the network usage using the configured list of identifiers. Such filtering or processing can be done in real-time or in a delayed manner in a standalone or integrated system.

Renewable energy farmed from solar, wind or the like enters a DC to DC converter with pulse width modulation (PWM) control to produce a generated DC with a known voltage. A micro controller controls the PWM control of the generated DC between zero and 100 percent such that it is suitable for a particular DC load. If the PWM is at 100%, then the MCU switches on power from an AC to DC converter with ON/OFF control for producing a line DC. The line DC is combined with the generated DC to supplement the generated DC so the load performs reliably. Alternatively, several capacitors in parallel are used to allow the generated DC to charge at least two of the capacitors, while a third capacitor that is charged from grid AC is always ready to be used as a backup source of power.
