A method of making a food serving tray assembly comprising the step of molding a hand portable container such that the container has a serving platter and a receptacle platter. The serving platter includes a disposal opening and serving wells for receiving food items. The receptacle platter and serving platter releasably couple to one another in a serving configuration and a transport configuration. The serving platter also has an outer peripheral wall and a plurality of dividing walls defining and separating adjacent serving wells; and the serving platter is generally received within the outer peripheral wall of the receptacle platter with the bottom of the receptacle platter and the dividing walls of the serving platter collectively isolating the wells from one another when the food serving tray assembly is in the transport configuration.

When the serving platter is received within the receptacle platter, each of the dividers aligns with and engages a respective dividing wall such that two wells are isolated and seated off from one another.

The serving platter has a peripheral wall and dividing walls defining and separating the serving wells. All are approximately equal in height. The receptacle platter has a peripheral wall and dividers shorter than the peripheral wall, and each divider aligns with and engages a respective dividing wall such that two wells are isolated from one another when the food serving tray assembly is in the transport configuration.

A writing instrument for use by a grader comprises an elongate, tubular housing, a writing component secured within the housing and operative to make marks on a surface, and a calculation assembly comprised of electronic components. The calculation assembly is retained within the housing and includes a plurality of data entry devices for entering data used to calculate a grade, the data entry devices being accessible by the grader through an exterior surface of the housing; a processing device programmed to receive data from the plurality of data entry devices and calculate the grade based on the entered data by performing division; and a display component for displaying to the grader the grade calculated by the processing device. A method of grading comprises using the writing instrument.

A container is received by and retained within the frame. The container is movable between a retracted position, in which the container is substantially disposed interior to the frame, and a protracted position, in which the container is substantially disposed exterior to the frame. The grating portion is located relative to the container such that bits of food that are grated using the grating portion are received and retained within the container. The peeling portion is located relative to the container such that portions of food that are cut using the peeling portion are received and retained within the container.
