摘要： A cable connector assembly includes a cable (5) and a connector (100) terminated to the cable (5). The connector (100) further includes a connector body (20), a cover means (9) fastening the connector body (20) and connecting means (7) securing said cable (5) to the cover means (9). The connecting means (7) further includes an outer ferrule (73) having a first part (733) crimped onto the cable and a second part (731) crimped onto a shield (53) of the cable 5, and an inner ferrule (71) fastened substantially under the shield (53) to the outer ferrule (73) in the area of the second part (731) for making an axial locking between the outer ferrule (73) and the inner ferrule (71). The inner ferrule (71) forms a number of resilient tabs (719) flexibly abutting the cover means (9) thereby making firmly electrical connection to the cover means (9).

摘要： An electrical connector (100) includes a middle board (4) defining a plurality of receiving holes (41, 42), a first insulative housing (1) mounted on one side of the middle board and defining a first receiving room (13), and a number of contacts (3) mounted on the first insulative housing. The contacts include a number of signal contacts (S) and a number of grounding contacts (G). Each of contacts includes a first mating portion (31), a second mating portion (32), and a middle portion (33) between the first and the second mating portions. The middle portions extend beyond the first insulative housing and are received in the receiving holes. Each of the middle portions of the signal contacts is solid. Each of the middle portions of the grounding contacts has a through hole (331) and has an outer profile wider than that of middle portion of the signal contact.

The front housing (20) defines a number of passageways (202) arranged in rows and columns. Each of the wafers includes a lead frame (34) and nine contacts (41-49) molded in the lead frame (34). Each of the contacts (41-49) further includes a fastening portion (404) molded in the lead frame (34), a mating portion (408) extending from an end of the fastening portion (404) for mating with a complementary mating connector (600) and a terminal portion (406) extending from an opposite end of the fastening portion (404) to be mounted in said PCB. The nine conductive contacts (41-49) are arranged on a coplanar surface. Adjacent rows of passageways (202) are arranged with a slight offset. Corresponding adjacent wafers 40 are arranged with the contacts of adjacent wafers (40) aligned in a direction perpendicular to the coplanar surface.

The contacts are received in the passages of the insulative housing. Each contact includes a receptacle (321) formed with a pair of legs (324). Each leg has a preloaded portion (325). The preloaded portion is insertable into the cavity via the opening along a mounting direction perpendicular to the mounting surface while spreading out the legs.

摘要： An electrical connector (1) includes an insulative housing (3) mounted onto a mother board, and a mulitiplicity of contact modules (7) received in the housing. The housing defines first and second openings (245, 246) in a front portion thereof. Each contact module includes first, second, third and fourth contacts (80, 82, 86, 88) and a ground contact (84). The first and second contacts are inserted into the first opening to form a first signal contact group, thereby providing a first mating interface for a daugher board. The third and fourth contacts are inserted into the second opening to form a second signal contact group, thereby providing a second mating interface for another daughter board. The ground contacts are disposed betweent the first and second signal contact groups. The connector can thereby electrically connect the daughter boards with the mother board simultaneously.

摘要： An electrical connector includes an insulative housing, a number of signal contacts, a number of shielding plates and a grounding member touching the shielding plates so that the shielding plates are jointly connected with each other. The shielding plates are assembled to the insulative housing and disposed between the signal contacts of adjacent columns. Each shielding plate includes a tab projecting into a base of the insulative housing. No mounting tail for establishing connection between the shielding plates and a circuit board is set on any of the shielding plates. Instead, the grounding member comprises a number of mounting tails for being connected to the circuit board so as to establish electrical connection between the shielding plates and the circuit board.
