A method for modifying a positive electrode material for a lithium-ion battery. The method includes: a) grinding a mixture of manganese dioxide and lithium carbonate, and calcining the mixture at no less than a temperature of 600° C. for no less than 20 hrs in the presence of air, to yield a powdery lithium manganese oxide (LiMn2O4); b) adding a precursor for forming a graphene-like structure to the powdery LiMn2O4, mixing, curing at a constant temperature of no less than 180° C. for between 2 and 4 hrs, grinding, and calcining at no less than a temperature of 500° C. for between 1 and 50 hrs in the presence of an inert gas, to yield a composite powder comprising a graphene-like structure and LiMn2O4; and c) collecting and sintering the composite powder at a temperature of between 300 and 500° C. for between 1 and 10 hrs in the presence of air.

Described are techniques for performing a content view search. A hierarchical structure of content views is provided. The content views are registered with an application framework. Query terms are received. The application framework determines nodes in the hierarchical structure having an associated keyword matching the query terms, determines a first list of node identifiers identifying the nodes in the hierarchical structure matching the one or more query terms, and determines a second list of descriptions corresponding to node identifiers of the first list. The second list of descriptions is displayed. Responsive to a selection of a first description from the second list, a first node identifier is determined that corresponds to the selected first description. A first content view for the first node identifier is displayed.

Described are techniques for event notification. A first notification about a first event is received. A timer is set to an amount of time. Processing waits until an occurrence of either receiving a second notification of a second event or expiration of said timer indicating that the amount of time has lapsed. It is determined whether the amount of time has lapsed or whether the second notification has been received. If the expiration time has lapsed, notification of the first event is provided, and otherwise, if the second notification has been received prior to the amount of time lapsing, the timer is reset and processing waits for an occurrence of either receiving a next notification of an event or expiration of the timer indicating that the amount of time has lapsed.

An improved technique of providing content from a single point of entry to a user is presented. The technique includes providing, on a computerized device, a unified content database from a set of content databases including a first content database of a first application and a second content database of a second application. The technique also includes displaying, from the computerized device to the user, a navigation view based on the unified content database while the first and second applications run on the computerized device, the navigation view initially rendering a single access point for content to the user. The technique further includes updating the navigation view with content from the first and second content databases in response to navigation commands from the user, the unified content database identifying particular database entries in the first and second content databases based on the navigation commands from the user, each database entry including displayable content.
