Abstract: A system for gait training which includes a height-adjustable rolling platform for attaching to the foot with or without a shoe, on the affected side of a subject. When the subject shifts their body weight away from the affected side, the platform is capable of forward and backward movement to follow the swinging movement of the leg. When the subject shifts their body weight to the affected side, a passive braking system arrests any further movement of the affected limb.
