Abstract: In various embodiments, provided herein are systems, methods, processes, and devices for providing locomotive rehabilitation to a subject via one or more gait motions that substantially accurately mimic motions performed in healthy, natural gait cycles. The system may mimic natural gait motions via footplates and handles, and one or more linkage systems. In particular embodiments, the system may further include a motor unit and/or clutch for providing controlled forces assisting or resisting motions of a linkage system. Further, the system may include a tower for operating in a standing or seated position. In at least one embodiment, the system includes a body weight support system that provides offloading forces to a subject.

Abstract: The invention may be embodied in a physical therapy or health maintenance stretching system including a frame configured for engaging a treated leg of a user at or near the popliteal space of the treated leg to allow a knee of the treated leg to bend inwards in response to gravitational force affecting a lower portion of the treated leg. The frame may be further configured to allow a knee of the treated leg to bend inwards in response to a user force directly or indirectly applied to the lower portion of the treated leg.

Abstract: Exercise robot suitable for rehabilitation and methods of its operation are provided. In particular a method in which the exercise robot learns an exercise movement on the basis of movements conducted by the aid of a human assistant holding the leg of a patient and moving the leg with muscular form to conduct an exercise movement. The rehabilitation robot actively accompanies the exercise movement in an active compliance mode and records the movement so as to determine an exercise movement stored in the control unit of the device. The rehabilitation robot can then produce the determined exercise in an exercise mode.

Abstract: A knee rehabilitation device is disclosed. The device may include a left post and a right post, an upper transverse post and a lower transverse post. The transverse posts may extend from the left post to the right post and may include foam pads that are configured to rest against opposing sides of the user's legs. The left and right posts may be angled to facilitate handling of the device. The transverse posts may be attached to the left and right posts by clamps that allow the transverse posts to slide along the height of the left and right posts.

Abstract: A lower back exercise apparatus exercises or imparts laterally and upwardly directed movements into a user's lower back when seated thereupon. The lower back exercise apparatus includes a lower base assembly, an upper seat assembly, and a motor assembly. The lower base assembly includes an upper, laterally concave base surface. The upper seat assembly includes a lower, laterally convex seat surface and an upper seat surface. The upper seat assembly is laterally ridable upon and movable relative to the lower base assembly. The motor assembly is drives a laterally directed, cylindrical arc length trajectory of the upper seat assembly relative to the lower base assembly. The concave and convex surfacing have a common radius of curvature with a common fulcrum point spatially located adjacent an upper portion of a user's lumbar spinal region Lateral flexion is thus imparted into a user's lower back when a user is seated thereupon.

Abstract: Provide is a health appliance and a method using the same which achieve active and appropriate assistance of bending of a knee joint. When sandwiched under the user's knee, the base angle θ2 adjacent to the toe is larger than the diagonal angle θ1 and smaller than the base angle θ3 adjacent to the thigh.

Abstract: A stretching device that enables a user to employ the mechanical advantage of a multi-pulley system while performing various, prolonged muscle stretches; the stretching device including a first anchor assembly, a second anchor assembly, and a motion transfer line. The first motion transfer line has a first anchor body and a first motion transfer pulley; the first anchor body being attached to the user and the first motion transfer pulley being coupled to the first anchor body. Similarly, the second motion transfer line has a second anchor body and a second motion transfer pulley; the second anchor body being attached to a stationary object and the second motion transfer pulley being coupled to the second anchor body. The motion transfer line is terminally attached to the first anchor body and is trained around both the first motion transfer pulley and the second motion transfer pulley.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an exercise and pull apparatus comprising: a bottom support on which an upright is arranged; a horizontal frame member arranged at a top region of the upright and provided with a gearbox connected with a clock movement; a bobbin mounted at the horizontal frame member and connected with the gearbox and driven and rotated by the clock movement via the gearbox; a pulling assembly mounted at the bobbin; and a head holder connected therewith for fixation of head. The present invention is relatively safe and reliable as it requires no doors for installation. Since the bobbin is rotated by the clock movement via the gearbox, pulling exercises could be performed with a fine range of pulling magnitude, whereby users could be adapted in a better way for prevention of injuries; and results could be monitored more conveniently and quickly after completion of exercises.
