Abstract:
The present invention relates to a magnetic field adjusting device; such as may be used in MRI apparatus. The device can overcome the magnetic force to enable shimming plugs to move in a controlled continuous manner, thereby achieving continuous adjusting and accurate positioning. The magnetic field adjusting device comprises; a pair of opposing pole plates (3, 31), respectively mounted on magnetic field generating sources, forming a magnetic field space; a plurality of shimming plugs (42) movably mounted at the periphery of said pole plates (3, 31), each shimming plug (42) mounted in a radially oriented retaining groove (45), so as to be movable in the direction of the retaining groove. Additionally, or alternatively, the circumferences of the magnetic field generating sources (5, 51) are arranged with adjusting bars (71, 81) which can move perpendicular to the pole plates. As an advantage of the present invention, the magnetic field can be shimmed conveniently quickly, and accurately to improve the imaging quality.
Abstract:
An Internet protocol (IP) allocation apparatus and method, used in a gateway coupled between an external network and an internal network, is disclosed. The apparatus can receive a request for IP allocation from a node of the internal network, and allocate an available global or private IP to the node according to an allocation principle. If the allocated IP is a global IP, then the node can use it to establish a connection with the external network directly.
Abstract:

Abstract:
A network management method and system and a computer that provides added security against hackers. A network management command is sent to the computer via short message service (SMS). The computer performs corresponding network configuration according to the network management command. Thus, a safe network management can be assured based on the secure capabilities of SMS.
Abstract:
An accommodative intraocular lens for implantation in an eye of a living subject having a lens capsule and a lens substance contained in the lens capsule. In one embodiment, the accommodative intraocular lens includes a lens structure having a geometry and a focal power associated with the geometry. The lens geometry is changeable in response to a force applied to the lens structure. The accommodative intraocular lens further includes a frame for engaging the lens structure with the lens capsule of the eye of the living subject such that contraction of the lens capsule pushes the lens structure contracting inwardly and relaxation of the lens capsule pulls the lens structure extending outwardly so as to change the geometry of the lens structure to adjust the focal power of the lens structure accordingly.
Abstract:
An interworking proxy is coupled to first and second mobile switching systems and translates between first and second management protocols used by the first and second systems, respectively. The first system requests service for a mobile user using the first management protocol. The proxy receives the service request and translates it from the first management protocol to the second management protocol, and then transmits the translated service request to the second system. The second system provides a response to the service request using the second management protocol. The interworking proxy receives the response and translates it from the second management protocol to the first management protocol, and then transmits the translated response to the first system.
Abstract:
A method for correcting distortions in multi-focus image stacks comprising the steps: acquiring a plurality of N colour images with an optical system; wherein each color image encompasses a plurality of pixels; converting each of two successive colour images of the N images into monochrome images; scaling each of the monochrome images to a conveniently M by M image; calculating a geometric transformation and a radiometric transformation of the two successive images, wherein the geometric transformation and the radiometric transformation is determined by a set of coefficients, which are determined by least square matching, and using the determined set of coefficients from each of two successive images, to correct each image sequentially and thereby constructing the multi-focus image by applying the determined parameter set to each of the successive images.
