    摘要: An in-plane switching liquid crystal display, especially relative to an in-plane switching liquid crystal display with the absence of an overcoat layer is provided. The in-plane switching liquid crystal display having a first substrate, a second substrate and a liquid crystal layer sandwiched therebetween, a plurality of gate lines and data lines disposed on the first substrate, a counter electrode disposed on the second substrate and corresponding to one of the data lines, a pixel having a pixel electrode, a pair of shielding electrodes and a common electrode also disposed on the first substrate. Through the arrangement of shielding electrodes as well as the counter electrode, the coupling effect of the applied pixel voltage on the data lines is shielded.

The first portion of the common electrode and the pixel electrode have a first distance d1, the second portion of the common electrode and the pixel electrode have a second distance d2, and the first distance d1 is not equivalent to the second distance d2.

    摘要: A repairing method of a liquid crystal display panel having a gravity defect includes steps of providing a first pressure to the liquid crystal display panel. Next, a second pressure is continuously provided to the liquid crystal display panel, and a section from the edge of the liquid crystal panel to the sealant is removed and forming an opening through the closed sealant frame. Then, forcing out the excess liquid crystal to flow out the panel through the cut off sections, cleaning out the excess material including LC mixture around the opening, and sealing the opening with a fresh end sealant. After that, providing a third pressure to the liquid crystal display panel, curing the end sealant to seal the opening, and then removing the third pressure. Finally, annealing the liquid crystal display panel to recover original display quality.

    摘要: A repairing method of a liquid crystal display panel having a gravity defect includes steps of providing a first pressure to the liquid crystal display panel. The readout pixel includes the fundamental elements as the normal pixel, and further includes a photo sensing element with a second switching element and a third switching element for generating a photo signal. The third switching element includes a third gate electrode and a third drain electrode both connecting to a reference voltage, and a third source electrode connecting to the second drain electrode.

    摘要: The present invention provides a Shield-Junction thin film transistor structure. According to the structure of the present invention, on top of the passivation layer, there is an island of protection electrode electrically insulated from the bottom ITO electrode. The protection electrode electrically connects with the gate line through a via hole and covers part of the drain electrode and its adjacent part of the TFT channel. Since the protection electrode does not cover or overlap with the source electrode, it has a negligible contribution to the data-line capacitance.

During operation, a voltage is first applied to this metal electrode to transform the liquid crystal molecule over this metal electrode from the splay state to the bend state.
